Summary:
The LINKEDIT section is very large and is read-only. Scanning this
section caused LSan on darwin to be very slow. When only writable sections
are scanned for global pointers, performance improved by a factor of about 25x.

Summary:
g_tls_size is not supposed to be changed after initialization. It's not
atomic, not guarded by a lock, nor thread_local. But it's read by
multiple threads.
The reason why it's mutated is mips and powerpc64 specific. We can
implement the same funcitonality without mutating g_tls_size.
I'm not sure how to write a test for this. Please advice. Thanks!

Normally, syslog() uses argv[0] for the log tag; bionic, however,
would crash in syslog() before libc constructor unless the log
tag is explicitly set with openlog().

Summary:
This removes the hard limit on the number of loaded modules (used to be
16K), and makes it easier to use LoadedModules w/o causing a memory
leak: ListOfModules owns the modules, and makes sure to properly clean
them in destructor.
Remove filtering functionality that is only needed in one place (LSan).

Log all of sanitizers' output (not just ASan bug reports) to CrashReport,
which simplifies diagnosing failed checks as well as other errors. This
also allows to strip the color sequences early from the printed buffer,
which is more efficient than what we had perviously.

When ASan currently detects a bug, by default it will only print out the text
of the report to stderr. This patch changes this behavior and writes the full
text of the report to syslog before we terminate the process. It also calls
os_trace (Activity Tracing available on OS X and iOS) with a message saying
that the report is available in syslog. This is useful, because this message
will be shown in the crash log.
For this to work, the patch makes sure we store the full report into
error_message_buffer unconditionally, and it also strips out ANSI escape
sequences from the report (they are used when producing colored reports).
I've initially tried to log to syslog during printing, which is done on Android
right now. The advantage is that if we crash during error reporting or the
produced error does not go through ScopedInErrorReport, we would still get a
(partial) message in the syslog. However, that solution is very problematic on
OS X. One issue is that the logging routine uses GCD, which may spawn a new
thread on its behalf. In many cases, the reporting logic locks threadRegistry,
which leads to deadlocks.

This patch moves a few functions from `sanitizer_linux_libcdep.cc` to `sanitizer_posix_libcdep.cc` in order to use them on OS X as well. Plus a few more small build fixes.
This is part of an effort to port TSan to OS X, and it's one the very first steps. Don't expect TSan on OS X to actually work or pass tests at this point.

This patch fix the function GetTls for aarch64, where it assumes it
follows the x86_64 way where the TLS initial address is at the end
of TLS. Instead aarch64 set the TLS address as the thread pointer.

This patch enabled TSAN for aarch64 with 39-bit VMA layout. As defined by
tsan_platform.h the layout used is:

no support to make mmap page non-executable.
* longjmp tests due missing specialized assembly routines.
These tests are xfail for now.
The only tsan issue still showing is:
rtl/TsanRtlTest/Posix.ThreadLocalAccesses
Which still required further investigation. The test is disable for
aarch64 for now.

Previously, Android target had a logic of duplicating all sanitizer
output to logcat. This change extends it to all posix platforms via
the use of syslog, controlled by log_to_syslog flag. Enabled by
default on Android, off everywhere else.
A bit of cmake magic is required to allow Printf() to call a libc
function. I'm adding a stub implementation to support no-libc builds
like dfsan and safestack.
This is a second attempt. I believe I've fixed all the issues that
prompted the revert: Mac build, and all kinds of non-CMake builds
(there are 3 of those).

This way does not require a __sanitizer_cov_dump() call. That's
important on Android, where apps can be killed at arbitrary time.
We write raw PCs to disk instead of module offsets; we also write
memory layout to a separate file. This increases dump size by the

Make behavior introduced in r202820 conditional (under legacy_pthread_cond flag).
The new issue that we've hit with the satellite pthread_cond_t struct is
that pthread_condattr_getpshared does not work (satellite data is not shared between processes).
The idea is that most processes do not use pthread 2.2.5.
The rare ones that use (2.2.5 is dated by 2002) must specify legacy_pthread_cond=1
on their own risk.

Because of the way Bionic sets up signal stack frames, libc unwinder is unable
to step through it, resulting in broken SEGV stack traces.
Luckily, libcorkscrew.so on Android implements an unwinder that can start with
a signal context, thus sidestepping the issue.

A helper function is a C++ function, and so even though one of the two
definitions is weak, it still technically triggers the ODR. Perhaps
these two definitions are ODR equivalent, but I'm not even confident in
that.
Instead, just define the function once, declare it as weak, and use
a wrapper that is clearly file-local. This avoids two definitions. Also
make the function extern "C" so that we can't even mess up the type
signature somehow or otherwise fail to match up the weak declaration
here with the interceptor defined elsewhere.
