Matt Arsenault caf1316f71 IR: Add immarg attribute
This indicates an intrinsic parameter is required to be a constant,
and should not be replaced with a non-constant value.

Add the attribute to all AMDGPU and generic intrinsics that comments
indicate it should apply to. I scanned other target intrinsics, but I
don't see any obvious comments indicating which arguments are intended
to be only immediates.

This breaks one questionable testcase for the autoupgrade. I'm unclear
on whether the autoupgrade is supposed to really handle declarations
which were never valid. The verifier fails because the attributes now
refer to a parameter past the end of the argument list.

Daniel Sanders dff673bb52 [tablegen] Add locations to many PrintFatalError() calls
Summary:
While working on the GISel Combiner, I noticed I was producing location-less
error messages fairly often and set about fixing this. In the process, I
noticed quite a few places elsewhere in TableGen that also neglected to include
a relevant location.

This patch adds locations to errors that relate to a specific record (or a
field within it) and also have easy access to the relevant location. This is
particularly useful when multiclasses are involved as many of these errors
refer to the full name of a record and it's difficult to guess which substring
is grep-able.

Unfortunately, tablegen currently only supports Record granularity so it's not
currently possible to point at a specific Init so these sometimes point at the
record that caused the error rather than the precise origin of the error.

Simon Pilgrim f87226eb70 [IR] Match intrinsic parameter by scalar/vectorwidth
This patch replaces the existing LLVMVectorSameWidth matcher with LLVMScalarOrSameVectorWidth.

The matching args must be either scalars or vectors with the same number of elements, but in either case the scalar/element type can differ, specified by LLVMScalarOrSameVectorWidth.

I've updated the _overflow intrinsics to demonstrate this - allowing it to return a i1 or <N x i1> overflow result, matching the scalar/vectorwidth of the other (add/sub/mul) result type.

The masked load/store/gather/scatter intrinsics have also been updated to use this, although as we specify the reference type to be llvm_anyvector_ty we guarantee the mask will be <N x i1> so no change in behaviour

Chandler Carruth 2946cd7010 Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

Vedant Kumar 808e157356 Mark @llvm.trap cold
A call to @llvm.trap can be expected to be cold (i.e. unlikely to be
reached in a normal program execution).

Outlining paths which unconditionally trap is an important memory

noreturn calls as cold, explicitly mark @llvm.trap cold so that it can
be outlined.

Reid Kleckner f5890e4e43 [IR] Split Intrinsics.inc into enums and implementations
Implements PR34259

Intrinsics.h is a very popular header. Most LLVM TUs care about things
like dbg_value, but they don't care how they are implemented. After I
split these out, IntrinsicImpl.inc is 1.7 MB, so this saves each LLVM TU
from scanning 1.7 MB of source that gets pre-processed away.

It also means we can modify intrinsic properties without triggering a
full rebuild, but that's probably less of a win.

I think the next best thing to do would be to split out the target
intrinsics into their own header. Very, very few TUs care about
target-specific intrinsics. It's very hard to split up the target
independent intrinsics like llvm.expect, assume, and dbg.value, though.

Reid Kleckner a0b45f4bfc [IR] Abstract away ArgNo+1 attribute indexing as much as possible
Summary:
Do three things to help with that:
- Add AttributeList::FirstArgIndex, which is an enumerator currently set
  to 1. It allows us to change the indexing scheme with fewer changes.
- Add addParamAttr/removeParamAttr. This just shortens addAttribute call
  sites that would otherwise need to spell out FirstArgIndex.
- Remove some attribute-specific getters and setters from Function that
  take attribute list indices. Most of these were only used from
  BuildLibCalls, and doesNotAlias was only used to test or set if the
  return value is malloc-like.

I'm happy to split the patch, but I think they are probably easier to
review when taken together.

This patch should be NFC, but it sets the stage to change the indexing
scheme to this, which is more convenient when indexing into an array:
  0: func attrs
  1: retattrs
  2...: arg attrs

The IntrNoMem, IntrReadMem, IntrWriteMem, and IntrArgMemOnly intrinsic

that the intrinsic, in addition to its memory properties, has no other side

The IntrHasSideEffects flag used in combination with one of the memory flags
listed above, makes it possible to define an intrinsic such that its
properties at the CodeGen layer match its properties at the IR layer.

Reid Kleckner b518054b87 Rename AttributeSet to AttributeList
Summary:
This class is a list of AttributeSetNodes corresponding the function
prototype of a call or function declaration. This class used to be
called ParamAttrListPtr, then AttrListPtr, then AttributeSet. It is
typically accessed by parameter and return value index, so
"AttributeList" seems like a more intuitive name.

Rename AttributeSetImpl to AttributeListImpl to follow suit.

It's useful to rename this class so that we can rename AttributeSetNode
to AttributeSet later. AttributeSet is the set of attributes that apply
to a single function, argument, or return value.

Nicolai Haehnle b48275f134 Add IntrWrite[Arg]Mem intrinsic property
Summary:
This property is used to mark an intrinsic that only writes to memory, but
neither reads from memory nor has other side effects.

An example where this is useful is the llvm.amdgcn.buffer.store.format.*
intrinsic, which corresponds to a store instruction that goes through a special
buffer descriptor rather than through a plain pointer.

With this property, the intrinsic should still be handled as having side
effects at the LLVM IR level, but machine scheduling can make smarter
decisions.

Chandler Carruth 194f59ca5d [PM/AA] Extract the ModRef enums from the AliasAnalysis class in
preparation for de-coupling the AA implementations.

In order to do this, they had to become fake-scoped using the
traditional LLVM pattern of a leading initialism. These can't be actual
scoped enumerations because they're bitfields and thus inherently we use
them as integers.

I've also renamed the behavior enums that are specific to reasoning
about the mod/ref behavior of functions when called. This makes it more
clear that they have a very narrow domain of applicability.

I think there is a significantly cleaner API for all of this, but
I don't want to try to do really substantive changes for now, I just
want to refactor the things away from analysis groups so I'm preserving
the exact original design and just cleaning up the names, style, and
lifting out of the class.

Elena Demikhovsky 23a485a4ed Masked Gather and Scatter Intrinsics.
Gather and Scatter are new introduced intrinsics, comming after recently implemented masked load and store.
This is the first patch for Gather and Scatter intrinsics. It includes only the syntax, parsing and verification.

Gather and Scatter intrinsics allow to perform multiple memory accesses (read/write) in one vector instruction.
The intrinsics are not target specific and will have the following syntax:
Gather:
declare <16 x i32> @llvm.masked.gather.v16i32(<16 x i32*> <vector of ptrs>, i32 <alignment>, <16 x i1> <mask>, <16 x i32> <passthru>)
declare <8 x float> @llvm.masked.gather.v8f32(<8 x float*><vector of ptrs>, i32 <alignment>, <8 x i1> <mask>, <8 x float><passthru>)

Scatter:
declare void @llvm.masked.scatter.v8i32(<8 x i32><vector value to be stored> , <8 x i32*><vector of ptrs> , i32 <alignment>, <8 x i1> <mask>)
declare void @llvm.masked.scatter.v16i32(<16 x i32> <vector value to be stored> , <16 x i32*> <vector of ptrs>, i32 <alignment>, <16 x i1><mask> )

Vector of ptrs - a set of source/destination addresses, to load/store the value.
Mask - switches on/off vector lanes to prevent memory access for switched-off lanes
vector of ptrs, value and mask should have the same vector width.

These are code examples where gather / scatter should be used and will allow function vectorization
;void foo1(int * restrict A, int * restrict B, int * restrict C) {
; for (int i=0; i<SIZE; i++) {
; A[i] = B[C[i]];
; }
;}

;void foo3(int * restrict A, int * restrict B) {
; for (int i=0; i<SIZE; i++) {
; A[B[i]] = i+5;
; }
;}

Tests will come in the following patches, with CodeGen and Vectorizer.

Masked Vector Load and Store Intrinsics.
Introduced new target-independent intrinsics in order to support masked vector loads and stores. The loop vectorizer optimizes loops containing conditional memory accesses by generating these intrinsics for existing targets AVX2 and AVX-512. The vectorizer asks the target about availability of masked vector loads and stores.
Added SDNodes for masked operations and lowering patterns for X86 code generator.
Examples:
<16 x i32> @llvm.masked.load.v16i32(i8* %addr, <16 x i32> %passthru, i32 4 /* align */, <16 x i1> %mask)
declare void @llvm.masked.store.v8f64(i8* %addr, <8 x double> %value, i32 4, <8 x i1> %mask)

Scalarizer for other targets (not AVX2/AVX-512) will be done in a separate patch.

Saleem Abdulrasool 4e63fc498c TableGen: introduce support for MSBuiltin
Add MSBuiltin which is similar in vein to GCCBuiltin. This allows for adding
intrinsics for Microsoft compatibility to individual instructions. This is
needed to permit the creation of ARM specific MSVC extensions.

This is not currently in use, and requires an associated change in clang to
enable use of the intrinsics defined by this new class. This merely sets the
LLVM portion of the infrastructure in place to permit the use of this
functionality. A separate set of changes will enable the new intrinsics.

Tim Northover 4516de3412 Intrinsics: add LLVMHalfElementsVectorType constraint

Tim Northover aa3cf1e691 Intrinsics: expand semantics of LLVMExtendedVectorType (& trunc)
These are used in the ARM backends to aid type-checking on patterns involving
intrinsics. By making sure one argument is an extended/truncated version of
another.

However, there's no reason to limit them to just vectors types. For example
AArch64 has the instruction "uqshrn sD, dN, #imm" which would naturally use an
intrinsic taking an i64 and returning an i32.

Eli Bendersky 2281ef91e6 Expose "noduplicate" attribute as a property for intrinsics.
The "noduplicate" function attribute exists to prevent certain optimizations
from duplicating calls to the function. This is important on platforms where
certain function call duplications are unsafe (for example execution barriers
for CUDA and OpenCL).

This patch makes it possible to specify intrinsics as "noduplicate" and
translates that to the appropriate function attribute.

Filip Pizlo c95bd8d88f Stackmaps are used for OSR exits, which is a custom kind of unwinding. Hence, they
should not be marked nounwind.

Marking them nounwind caused crashes in the WebKit FTL JIT, because if we enable
sufficient optimizations, LLVM starts eliding compact_unwind sections (or any unwind
data for that matter), making deoptimization via stackmaps impossible.

This changes the stackmap intrinsic to be may-throw, adds a test for exactly the
sympton that WebKit saw, and fixes TableGen to handle un-attributed intrinsics.

Thanks to atrick and philipreames for reviewing this.

Justin Holewinski b3d630ca21 Fix a bug in TableGen where the intrinsic function name recognizer could mis-identify names if one was a prefix substring of the other
For two intrinsics 'llvm.nvvm.texsurf.handle' and 'llvm.nvvm.texsurf.handle.internal',
TableGen was emitting matching code like:

  if (Name.startswith("llvm.nvvm.texsurf.handle")) ...
  if (Name.startswith("llvm.nvvm.texsurf.handle.internal")) ...

We can never match "llvm.nvvm.texsurf.handle.internal" here because it will
always be erroneously matched by the first condition.

The fix is to sort the intrinsic names and emit them in reverse order.
