Richard Smith 30e304e2a6 Remove custom handling of array copies in lambda by-value array capture and
copy constructors of classes with array members, instead using
ArrayInitLoopExpr to represent the initialization loop.

This exposed a bug in the static analyzer where it was unable to differentiate
between zero-initialized and unknown array values, which has also been fixed
here.

John Brawn 771721cb35 Don't use static variables in LambdaCapture
When static variables are used in inline functions in header files anything that
uses that function ends up with a reference to the variable. Because
RecursiveASTVisitor uses the inline functions in LambdaCapture that use static
variables any AST plugin that uses RecursiveASTVisitor, such as the
PrintFunctionNames example, ends up with a reference to these variables. This is
bad on Windows when building with MSVC with LLVM_EXPORT_SYMBOLS_FOR_PLUGINS=ON
as variables used across a DLL boundary need to be explicitly dllimported in
the DLL using them.

This patch avoids that by adjusting LambdaCapture to be similar to before
r263921, with a capture of either 'this' or a VLA represented by a null Decl
pointer in DeclAndBits with an extra flag added to the bits to distinguish
between the two. This requires the use of an extra bit, and while Decl does
happen to be sufficiently aligned to allow this it's done in a way that means
PointerIntPair doesn't realise it and gives an assertion failure. Therefore I
also adjust Decl slightly to use LLVM_ALIGNAS to allow this.

Faisal Vali dc6b596ebb [Cxx1z] Implement Lambda Capture of *this by Value as [=,*this] (P0018R3)
Implement lambda capture of *this by copy.
For e.g.:
struct A {

  int d = 10;
  auto foo() { return [*this] (auto a) mutable { d+=a; return d; }; }

};

auto L = A{}.foo(); // A{}'s lifetime is gone.

// Below is still ok, because *this was captured by value.
assert(L(10) == 20);
assert(L(100) == 120);

If the capture was implicit, or [this] (i.e. *this was captured by reference), this code would be otherwise undefined.

Implementation Strategy:
  - amend the parser to accept *this in the lambda introducer
  - add a new king of capture LCK_StarThis
  - teach Sema::CheckCXXThisCapture to handle by copy captures of the
    enclosing object (i.e. *this)
  - when CheckCXXThisCapture does capture by copy, the corresponding
    initializer expression for the closure's data member
    direct-initializes it thus making a copy of '*this'.
  - in codegen, when assigning to CXXThisValue, if *this was captured by
    copy, make sure it points to the corresponding field member, and
    not, unlike when captured by reference, what the field member points
    to.
  - mark feature as implemented in svn

Much gratitude to Richard Smith for his carefully illuminating reviews!

John McCall 32791cc3e1 Only instantiate a default argument once.
By storing the instantiated expression back in the ParmVarDecl,
we remove the last need for separately storing the sub-expression
of a CXXDefaultArgExpr. This makes PCH/Modules merging quite
simple: CXXDefaultArgExpr records are serialized as references
to the ParmVarDecl, and we ignore redundant attempts to overwrite
the instantiated expression.

This has some extremely marginal impact on user-facing semantics.
However, the major effect is that it avoids IRGen errors about
conflicting definitions due to lambdas in the argument being
instantiated multiple times while sharing the same mangling.
It should also slightly improve memory usage and module file size.

So, also:

- Moved the TemplateArgumentLoc array out of the

  to avoid needing to have a variable-length object as part of a
  variable-length object. Now the objects that have a
  ASTTemplateKWAndArgsInfo also have some TemplateArgumentLoc objects
  appended directly.

- Removed some internal-use accessors which became simply a wrapper on

- Moved MemberNameQualifier out of the MemberExpr class, renamed it

James Y Knight 48fefa3724 Fix FunctionParmPackExpr::Create() to take a ParmVarDecl* array.
FunctionParmPackExpr actually stores an array of ParmVarDecl* (and
accessors return that). But, the FunctionParmPackExpr::Create()
constructor accepted an array of Decl *s instead.

It was easy for this mismatch to occur without any obvious sign of
something wrong, since both the store and the access used independent

James Dennett dd2ffea288 Replace the broken LambdaCapture::isInitCapture API.
A LambdaCapture does not have sufficient information
to correctly determine whether it is an init-capture or not.
Doing so requires knowledge held in the LambdaExpr itself.

It the case of a nested capture of an init-capture it is not
sufficient to check (as LambdaCapture::isInitCapture did)
whether the associated VarDecl was from an init-capture.

This patch moves isInitCapture to LambdaExpr and updates
Capture->isInitCapture() to Lambda->isInitCapture(Capture).

Reid Kleckner 916ac4d233 ms-compat: Fix taking the address of a member of a dependent base
If unqualified id lookup fails while parsing a class template with a
dependent base, clang with -fms-compatibility will pretend the user
prefixed the name with 'this->' in order to delay the lookup. However,
if there was a unary ampersand, Sema::ActOnDependentIdExpression() will
create a DependentDeclRefExpr, which is not what we wanted at all. Fix
this by building the CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr directly instead.

In order to be fully MSVC compatible, we would have to defer all
attempts at name lookup to instantiation time. However, until we have
real problems with system headers that can't be parsed, we'll put off
implementing that.

Fixes PR16014.

Faisal Vali 2b391ab708 Implement a rudimentary form of generic lambdas.
Specifically, the following features are not included in this commit:
  - any sort of capturing within generic lambdas
  - generic lambdas within template functions and nested
    within other generic lambdas
  - conversion operator for captureless lambdas
  - ensuring all visitors are generic lambda aware
  (Although I have gotten some useful feedback on my patches of the above and will be incorporating that as I submit those patches for commit)

As an example of what compiles through this commit:

template <class F1, class F2>
struct overload : F1, F2 {
    using F1::operator();
    using F2::operator();
    overload(F1 f1, F2 f2) : F1(f1), F2(f2) { }
  };

  auto Recursive = [](auto Self, auto h, auto ... rest) {
    return 1 + Self(Self, rest...);
  };
  auto Base = [](auto Self, auto h) {
      return 1;
  };
  overload<decltype(Base), decltype(Recursive)> O(Base, Recursive);
  int num_params =  O(O, 5, 3, "abc", 3.14, 'a');

Please see attached tests for more examples.

This patch has been reviewed by Doug and Richard. Minor changes (non-functionality affecting) have been made since both of them formally looked at it, but the changes involve removal of supernumerary return type deduction changes (since they are now redundant, with richard having committed a recent patch to address return type deduction for C++11 lambdas using C++14 semantics).

Some implementation notes:

  - Add a new Declarator context => LambdaExprParameterContext to
    clang::Declarator to allow the use of 'auto' in declaring generic
    lambda parameters

  - Add various helpers to CXXRecordDecl to facilitate identifying
    and querying a closure class

  - LambdaScopeInfo (which maintains the current lambda's Sema state)
    was augmented to house the current depth of the template being
    parsed (id est the Parser calls Sema::RecordParsingTemplateParameterDepth)
    so that SemaType.cpp::ConvertDeclSpecToType may use it to immediately
    generate a template-parameter-type when 'auto' is parsed in a generic
    lambda parameter context. (i.e we do NOT use AutoType deduced to
    a template parameter type - Richard seemed ok with this approach).
    We encode that this template type was generated from an auto by simply
    adding $auto to the name which can be used for better diagnostics if needed.

  - SemaLambda.h was added to hold some common lambda utility
    functions (this file is likely to grow ...)

  - Teach Sema::ActOnStartOfFunctionDef to check whether it
    is being called to instantiate a generic lambda's call
    operator, and if so, push an appropriately prepared
    LambdaScopeInfo object on the stack.

  - various tests were added - but much more will be needed.

There is obviously more work to be done, and both Richard (weakly) and Doug (strongly)
have requested that LambdaExpr be removed form the CXXRecordDecl LambdaDefinitionaData
in a future patch which is forthcoming.

A greatful thanks to all reviewers including Eli Friedman, James Dennett,
and especially the two gracious wizards (Richard Smith and Doug Gregor)
who spent hours providing feedback (in person in Chicago and on the mailing lists).
And yet I am certain that I have allowed unidentified bugs to creep in; bugs, that I will do my best to slay, once identified!

Thanks!
