Alexey Bataev f763027f04 [MSVC] 'property' with an empty array in array subscript expression.
MSVC supports 'property' attribute and allows to apply it to the declaration of an empty array in a class or structure definition.
For example:
```
__declspec(property(get=GetX, put=PutX)) int x[];
```
The above statement indicates that x[] can be used with one or more array indices. In this case, i=p->x[a][b] will be turned into i=p->GetX(a, b), and p->x[a][b] = i will be turned into p->PutX(a, b, i);

Richard Smith e301ba2b48 Add support for GCC's '__auto_type' extension, per the GCC manual:
https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Typeof.html

Differences from the GCC extension:
 * __auto_type is also permitted in C++ (but only in places where
   it could appear in C), allowing its use in headers that might
   be shared across C and C++, or used from C++98
 * __auto_type can be combined with a declarator, as with C++ auto
   (for instance, "__auto_type *p")
 * multiple variables can be declared in a single __auto_type
   declaration, with the C++ semantics (the deduced type must be
   the same in each case)

This patch also adds a missing restriction on applying typeof to
a bit-field, which GCC has historically rejected in C (due to
lack of clarity as to whether the operand should be promoted).
The same restriction also applies to __auto_type in C (in both
GCC and Clang).

This also fixes PR25449.

Richard Smith 42b1057244 N3922: direct-list-initialization of an auto-typed variable no longer deduces a
std::initializer_list<T> type. Instead, the list must contain a single element
and the type is deduced from that.

In Clang 3.7, we warned by default on all the cases that would change meaning
due to this change. In Clang 3.8, we will support only the new rules -- per
the request in N3922, this change is applied as a Defect Report against earlier
versions of the C++ standard.

This change is not entirely trivial, because for lambda init-captures we
previously did not track the difference between direct-list-initialization and
copy-list-initialization. The difference was not previously observable, because
the two forms of initialization always did the same thing (the elements of the
initializer list were always copy-initialized regardless of the initialization
style used for the init-capture).

Reid Kleckner 744e3e7fc7 Re-land r250592 without rejecting field refs in unevaluated contexts
This time, I went with the first approach from
http://reviews.llvm.org/D6700, where clang actually attempts to form an
implicit member reference from an UnresolvedLookupExpr. We know that
there are only two possible outcomes at this point, a DeclRefExpr of the
FieldDecl or an error, but its safer to reuse the existing machinery for
this.

Reid Kleckner 7d3a2f067f Revert "Diagnose UnresolvedLookupExprs that resolve to instance members in static methods"
This reverts commit r250592.

It has issues around unevaluated contexts, like this:
  template <class T> struct A { T i; };
  template <class T>
  struct B : A<T> {
    using A<T>::i;
    typedef decltype(i) U;
  };
  template struct B<int>;

Reid Kleckner f438a020bf Diagnose UnresolvedLookupExprs that resolve to instance members in static methods
During the initial template parse for this code, 'member' is unresolved
and we don't know anything about it:

  struct A { int member };
  template <typename T>
  struct B : public T {
    using T::member;
    static void f() {
      (void)member; // Could be static or non-static.
    }
  };
  template class B<A>;

The pattern declaration contains an UnresolvedLookupExpr rather than an
UnresolvedMemberExpr because `f` is static, and `member` should never be
a field. However, if the code is invalid, it may become a field, in
which case we should diagnose it.

Alexey Bataev d14d1e6f25 [OPENMP 4.1] Add 'simd' clause for 'ordered' directive.

Description

Restrictions
An ordered construct with the simd clause is the only OpenMP construct that can appear in the simd region

OpenMP 4.1 extends format of '#pragma omp ordered'. It adds 3 additional clauses: 'threads', 'simd' and 'depend'.
If no clause is specified, the ordered construct behaves as if the threads clause had been specified. If the threads clause is specified, the threads in the team executing the loop region execute ordered regions sequentially in the order of the loop iterations.
The loop region to which an ordered region without any clause or with a threads clause binds must have an ordered clause without the parameter specified on the corresponding loop directive.

Alexey Bataev 6b8046addf [OPENMP 4.1] Parsing/sema analysis for extended format of 'if' clause.
OpenMP 4.1 added special 'directive-name-modifier' to the 'if' clause.
Format of 'if' clause is as follows:
```
if([ directive-name-modifier :] scalar-logical-expression)
```

The restriction rules are also changed.
1. If any 'if' clause on the directive includes a 'directive-name-modifier' then all 'if' clauses on the directive must include a 'directive-name-modifier'.
2. At most one 'if' clause without a 'directive-name-modifier' can appear on the directive.
3. At most one 'if' clause with some particular 'directive-name-modifier' can appear on the directive.

'directive-name-modifier' is important for combined directives and allows to separate conditions in 'if' clause for simple sub-directives in combined directive. This 'directive-name-modifier' identifies the sub-directive to which this 'if' clause must be applied.

Douglas Gregor 9bda6cff20 C++ support for Objective-C lightweight generics.
Teach C++'s tentative parsing to handle specializations of Objective-C
class types (e.g., NSArray<NSString *>) as well as Objective-C
protocol qualifiers (id<NSCopying>) by extending type-annotation
tokens to handle this case. As part of this, remove Objective-C
protocol qualifiers from the declaration specifiers, which never
really made sense: instead, provide Sema entry points to make them
part of the type annotation token. Among other things, this properly
diagnoses bogus types such as "<NSCopying> id" which should have been
written as "id <NSCopying>".

Implements template instantiation support for, e.g., NSArray<T>*

Meador Inge 4f9dee7511 [Sema] Maintain ellipsis location when transforming lambda captures
This patch fixes a crash caused by the following case:

  template<typename T>
  auto f(T x) {
    auto g = [](auto ... args) {
      auto h = [args...]() -> int {
        return 0;
      };
      return h;
    };
    return g;
  }

  auto x = f(0)();

When the templated function 'f' is instantiated and the inner-most
lambda is transformed the ellipsis location on the captured variable
is lost. Then the lambda returned by 'f' is instantiated and the
tree transformer chokes on the invalid ellipsis location. The
problem is fixed by making a minor change to properly track the
ellipsis location.

This fixes PR23716.

Douglas Gregor 261a89b0f7 Introduce type nullability specifiers for C/C++.
Introduces the type specifiers __nonnull, __nullable, and
__null_unspecified that describe the nullability of the pointer type
to which the specifier appertains. Nullability type specifiers improve
on the existing nonnull attributes in a few ways:
  - They apply to types, so one can represent a pointer to a non-null
    pointer, use them in function pointer types, etc.
  - As type specifiers, they are syntactically more lightweight than
    __attribute__s or [[attribute]]s.
  - They can express both the notion of 'should never be null' and
  also 'it makes sense for this to be null', and therefore can more
  easily catch errors of omission where one forgot to annotate the
  nullability of a particular pointer (this will come in a subsequent
  patch).

Nullability type specifiers are maintained as type sugar, and
therefore have no effect on mangling, encoding, overloading,
etc. Nonetheless, they will be used for warnings about, e.g., passing
'null' to a method that does not accept it.

James Dennett dd2ffea288 Replace the broken LambdaCapture::isInitCapture API.
A LambdaCapture does not have sufficient information
to correctly determine whether it is an init-capture or not.
Doing so requires knowledge held in the LambdaExpr itself.

It the case of a nested capture of an init-capture it is not
sufficient to check (as LambdaCapture::isInitCapture did)
whether the associated VarDecl was from an init-capture.

This patch moves isInitCapture to LambdaExpr and updates
Capture->isInitCapture() to Lambda->isInitCapture(Capture).

Richard Smith c38498f046 PR23334: Perform semantic checking of lambda capture initialization in the right context.
Previously we'd try to perform checks on the captures from the middle of
parsing the lambda's body, at the point where we detected that a variable
needed to be captured. This was wrong in a number of subtle ways. In
PR23334, we couldn't correctly handle the list of potential odr-uses
resulting from the capture, and our attempt to recover from that resulted
in a use-after-free.

We now defer building the initialization expression until we leave the lambda
body and return to the enclosing context, where the initialization does the
right thing. This patch only covers lambda-expressions, but we should apply
the same change to blocks and captured statements too.

Nico Weber d64657f298 Warn when jumping out of a __finally block via continue, break, return, __leave.
Since continue, break, return are much more common than __finally, this tries
to keep the work for continue, break, return O(1). Sema keeps a stack of active
__finally scopes (to do this, ActOnSEHFinally() is split into
ActOnStartSEHFinally() and ActOnFinishSEHFinally()), and the various jump
statements then check if the current __finally scope (if present) is deeper
than then destination scope of the jump.

The same warning for goto statements is still missing.

This is the moral equivalent of MSVC's C4532.

Reid Kleckner 32506ed8be Recover from missing 'typename' in sizeof(T::InnerType)
Summary:
'sizeof' is a UnaryExprOrTypeTrait, and it can contain either a type or
an expression. This change threads a RecoveryTSI parameter through the
layers between TransformUnaryExprOrTypeTrait the point at which we look
up the type. If lookup finds a single type result after instantiation,
we now build TypeSourceInfo for it just like a normal transformation
would.

This fixes the last error in the hello world ATL app that I've been
working with, and it now links and runs with clang. Please try it and
file bugs!

Fix a perennial source of confusion in the clang type system: Declarations and
function prototypes have parameters to which arguments are supplied, so calling
these 'arguments' was a stretch even in C mode, let alone C++ where default
arguments, templates and overloading make the distinction important to get
right.

Readability win across the board, especially in the casting, ADL and
overloading implementations which make a lot more sense at a glance now.

Faisal Vali 5fb7c3c4ed Fix init-captures for generic lambdas.
For an init capture, process the initialization expression
right away. For lambda init-captures such as the following:
const int x = 10;
 auto L = [i = x+1](int a) {
   return [j = x+2,
          &k = x](char b) { };
 };
keep in mind that each lambda init-capture has to have:
 - its initialization expression executed in the context
   of the enclosing/parent decl-context.
 - but the variable itself has to be 'injected' into the
   decl-context of its lambda's call-operator (which has
   not yet been created).
Each init-expression is a full-expression that has to get
Sema-analyzed (for capturing etc.) before its lambda's
call-operator's decl-context, scope & scopeinfo are pushed on their
respective stacks. Thus if any variable is odr-used in the init-capture
it will correctly get captured in the enclosing lambda, if one exists.
The init-variables above are created later once the lambdascope and
call-operators decl-context is pushed onto its respective stack.

Since the lambda init-capture's initializer expression occurs in the
context of the enclosing function or lambda, therefore we can not wait
till a lambda scope has been pushed on before deciding whether the
variable needs to be captured. We also need to process all
lvalue-to-rvalue conversions and discarded-value conversions,
so that we can avoid capturing certain constant variables.
For e.g.,
 void test() {
  const int x = 10;
  auto L = [&z = x](char a) { <-- don't capture by the current lambda
    return [y = x](int i) { <-- don't capture by enclosing lambda
         return y;
    }
  };
If x was not const, the second use would require 'L' to capture, and
that would be an error.
Make sure TranformLambdaExpr is also aware of this.

Faisal Vali c1a6dc4907 Refactor out the circular reference to LambdaExpr in CXXRecordDecl.
A prior commit of this patch was reverted because it was within the blamelist's purview of a failing test. The failure of that test has been addressed here: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/cfe-commits/Week-of-Mon-20131021/091546.html. Therefore I am recommitting this patch (all tests pass on windows, except for the usual modules & index suspects that never pass on my box).

Some background: Both Doug and Richard had asked me in Chicago to remove the circular reference in CXXRecordDecl to LambdaExpr by factoring out and storing the needed information from LambdaExpr directly into CXXRecordDecl.

In addition, I have added an IsGenericLambda flag - this makes life a little easier when we implement capturing, and are Sema-analyzing the body of a lambda (and the calloperator hasn't been wired to the closure class yet). Any inner lambdas can have potential captures that could require walking up the scope chain and checking if any generic lambdas are capture-ready. This 'bit' makes some of that checking easier.

No change in functionality.

This patch was approved by Doug with minor modifications (comments were cleaned up, and all data members were converted from bool/enum to unsigned, as requested):

Faisal Vali 2cba133818 And Again: Teach TreeTransform how to transform nested generic lambdas.
A previous attempt http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/cfe-commits/Week-of-Mon-20130930/090049.html resulted in PR 17476, and was reverted,

The original TransformLambdaExpr (pre generic-lambdas) transformed the TypeSourceInfo of the Call operator in its own instantiation scope via TransformType. This resulted in the parameters of the call operator being mapped to their transformed counterparts in an instantiation scope that would get popped off.
Then a call to TransformFunctionParameters would add the parameters and their transformed mappings (but newly created ones!) to the current instantiation scope. This would result in a disconnect between the new call operator's TSI parameters and those used to construct the call operator declaration. This was ok in the non-generic lambda world - but would cause issues with nested transformations (when non-generic and generics were interleaved) in the generic lambda world - that I somewhat kludged around initially - but this resulted in PR17476.

The new approach seems cleaner. We only do the transformation of the TypeSourceInfo - but we make sure to do it in the current instantiation scope so we don't lose the untransformed to transformed mappings of the ParmVarDecls when they get created.

Another attempt caused a test to fail (http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/cfe-commits/Week-of-Mon-20131021/091533.html) and also had to be reverted - my apologies - in my haste, i did not run all the tests - argh!

Now all the tests seem to pass - but a Fixme has been added - since I suspect Richard will find the fix a little inelegant ;) I shall try and work on a more elegant fix once I have had a chance to discuss with Richard or Doug at a later date.

Hopefully the third time;s a charm *fingers crossed*

Reid Kleckner 916ac4d233 ms-compat: Fix taking the address of a member of a dependent base
If unqualified id lookup fails while parsing a class template with a
dependent base, clang with -fms-compatibility will pretend the user
prefixed the name with 'this->' in order to delay the lookup. However,
if there was a unary ampersand, Sema::ActOnDependentIdExpression() will
create a DependentDeclRefExpr, which is not what we wanted at all. Fix
this by building the CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr directly instead.

In order to be fully MSVC compatible, we would have to defer all
attempts at name lookup to instantiation time. However, until we have
real problems with system headers that can't be parsed, we'll put off
implementing that.

This does not yet include capturing (that is next).

Please see test file for examples.

Faisal Vali 2b391ab708 Implement a rudimentary form of generic lambdas.
Specifically, the following features are not included in this commit:
  - any sort of capturing within generic lambdas
  - generic lambdas within template functions and nested
    within other generic lambdas
  - conversion operator for captureless lambdas
  - ensuring all visitors are generic lambda aware
  (Although I have gotten some useful feedback on my patches of the above and will be incorporating that as I submit those patches for commit)

As an example of what compiles through this commit:

template <class F1, class F2>
struct overload : F1, F2 {
    using F1::operator();
    using F2::operator();
    overload(F1 f1, F2 f2) : F1(f1), F2(f2) { }
  };

  auto Recursive = [](auto Self, auto h, auto ... rest) {
    return 1 + Self(Self, rest...);
  };
  auto Base = [](auto Self, auto h) {
      return 1;
  };
  overload<decltype(Base), decltype(Recursive)> O(Base, Recursive);
  int num_params =  O(O, 5, 3, "abc", 3.14, 'a');

Please see attached tests for more examples.

This patch has been reviewed by Doug and Richard. Minor changes (non-functionality affecting) have been made since both of them formally looked at it, but the changes involve removal of supernumerary return type deduction changes (since they are now redundant, with richard having committed a recent patch to address return type deduction for C++11 lambdas using C++14 semantics).

Some implementation notes:

  - Add a new Declarator context => LambdaExprParameterContext to
    clang::Declarator to allow the use of 'auto' in declaring generic
    lambda parameters

  - Add various helpers to CXXRecordDecl to facilitate identifying
    and querying a closure class

  - LambdaScopeInfo (which maintains the current lambda's Sema state)
    was augmented to house the current depth of the template being
    parsed (id est the Parser calls Sema::RecordParsingTemplateParameterDepth)
    so that SemaType.cpp::ConvertDeclSpecToType may use it to immediately
    generate a template-parameter-type when 'auto' is parsed in a generic
    lambda parameter context. (i.e we do NOT use AutoType deduced to
    a template parameter type - Richard seemed ok with this approach).
    We encode that this template type was generated from an auto by simply
    adding $auto to the name which can be used for better diagnostics if needed.

  - SemaLambda.h was added to hold some common lambda utility
    functions (this file is likely to grow ...)

  - Teach Sema::ActOnStartOfFunctionDef to check whether it
    is being called to instantiate a generic lambda's call
    operator, and if so, push an appropriately prepared
    LambdaScopeInfo object on the stack.

  - various tests were added - but much more will be needed.

There is obviously more work to be done, and both Richard (weakly) and Doug (strongly)
have requested that LambdaExpr be removed form the CXXRecordDecl LambdaDefinitionaData
in a future patch which is forthcoming.

A greatful thanks to all reviewers including Eli Friedman, James Dennett,
and especially the two gracious wizards (Richard Smith and Doug Gregor)
who spent hours providing feedback (in person in Chicago and on the mailing lists).
And yet I am certain that I have allowed unidentified bugs to creep in; bugs, that I will do my best to slay, once identified!

Thanks!

Hal Finkel c4d7c82c7f Add the intrinsic __builtin_convertvector
LLVM supports applying conversion instructions to vectors of the same number of
elements (fptrunc, fptosi, etc.) but there had been no way for a Clang user to
cause such instructions to be generated when using builtin vector types.

C-style casting on vectors is already defined in terms of bitcasts, and so
cannot be used for these conversions as well (without leading to a very
confusing set of semantics). As a result, this adds a __builtin_convertvector
intrinsic (patterned after the OpenCL __builtin_astype intrinsic). This is
intended to aid the creation of vector intrinsic headers that create generic IR
instead of target-dependent intrinsics (in other words, this is a generic
_mm_cvtepi32_ps). As noted in the documentation, the action of
__builtin_convertvector is defined in terms of the action of a C-style cast on
each vector element.

Eli Friedman bc8c734fa7 Reduce stack usage of TreeTransform.
Without this patch, TreeTransform::TransformExpr uses a ridiculous amount of
stack space (around 5000 bytes). Preventing inlining brings the stack usage
down to something sane.

On a testcase I have, on my computer, this allows changing -ftemplate-depth
from 210 to around 750 before we crash. I'm not sure I should commit the
testcase, though: I don't want to cause test failures on platforms with less
stack space available.

Serge Pavlov 8260530cb2 Clear LookupResult object if invalid candidate is found.
If source code is invalid, error recovery can lead to name lookup in a set containing invalid declaration. The lookup is stopped once found such declaration, but LookupResult object could remain in inconsistent state. Its destructor triggered a check, which caused assert violation.
