Erich Keane 258c3aee54 Revert "Re-apply "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation"""
This reverts commit befa8cf087.

Apparently this breaks some libc++ builds with an apparent assertion,
so I'm looking into that .

Erich Keane befa8cf087 Re-apply "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation""
This reverts commit d4d47e574e.

This fixes the lldb crash that was observed by ensuring that our
friend-'template contains reference to' TreeTransform properly handles a
TemplateDecl.

Revert "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation"
This reverts commit 2f20743952 because it
triggers an assertion when building an LLDB test program:

Assertion failed: (InstantiatingSpecializations.empty() && "failed to
clean up an InstantiatingTemplate?"), function ~Sema, file
  /Users/buildslave/jenkins/workspace/lldb-cmake/llvm-project/clang/lib/Sema/Sema.cpp,
  line 458.

Erich Keane 2f20743952 Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation
This is a continuation of D119544. Based on @rsmith 's feed back
showing me https://eel.is/c++draft/temp#friend-9, We should properly
handle friend functions now.

This reverts commit a425cac31e.

There is another libc++ test, that this time causes us to hit an
assertion. Reverting, likely for a while this time.

Erich Keane 45c07db31c Revert "Re-apply 4b6c2cd642 "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation"""
This reverts commit a97899108e.

The patch caused some problems with the libc++ `__range_adaptor_closure`
that I haven't been able to figure out the cause of, so I am reverting
while I figure out whether this is a solvable problem/issue with the
CFE, or libc++ depending on an older 'incorrect' behavior.

Erich Keane a97899108e Re-apply 4b6c2cd642 "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation""
This reverts commit 0c31da4838.

I've solved the issue with the PointerUnion by making the
`FunctionTemplateDecl` pointer be a NamedDecl, that could be a
`FunctionDecl` or `FunctionTemplateDecl` depending. This is enforced
with an assert.

Erich Keane 0c31da4838 Revert "Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation"
This reverts commit 4b6c2cd647.

The patch caused numerous ARM 32 bit build failures, since we added a
5th item to the PointerUnion, and went over the 2-bits available in the
32 bit pointers.

Erich Keane 4b6c2cd647 Deferred Concept Instantiation Implementation
As reported here: https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/44178

Concepts are not supposed to be instantiated until they are checked, so
this patch implements that and goes through significant amounts of work
to make sure we properly re-instantiate the concepts correctly.

Roy Jacobson 807e418413 [Concepts] Fix overload resolution bug with constrained candidates
When doing overload resolution, we have to check that candidates' parameter types are equal before trying to find a better candidate through checking which candidate is more constrained.
This revision adds this missing check and makes us diagnose those cases as ambiguous calls when the types are not equal.

Placeholder types were not checked for constraint satisfaction when modified by references or pointers.
The behavior now matches that of GCC and MSVC.

Are there other modifiers we might need to "peel"? I'm not sure my approach to this is the 'right' way to fix this, the loop feels a bit clunky.

Aaron Ballman 6c75ab5f66 Introduce _BitInt, deprecate _ExtInt
WG14 adopted the _ExtInt feature from Clang for C23, but renamed the
type to be _BitInt. This patch does the vast majority of the work to
rename _ExtInt to _BitInt, which accounts for most of its size. The new
type is exposed in older C modes and all C++ modes as a conforming
extension. However, there are functional changes worth calling out:

* Deprecates _ExtInt with a fix-it to help users migrate to _BitInt.
* Updates the mangling for the type.
* Updates the documentation and adds a release note to warn users what
is going on.
* Adds new diagnostics for use of _BitInt to call out when it's used as
a Clang extension or as a pre-C23 compatibility concern.
* Adds new tests for the new diagnostic behaviors.

I want to call out the ABI break specifically. We do not believe that
this break will cause a significant imposition for early adopters of
the feature, and so this is being done as a full break. If it turns out
there are critical uses where recompilation is not an option for some
reason, we can consider using ABI tags to ease the transition.

[clang] retain type sugar in auto / template argument deduction
This implements the following changes:
* AutoType retains sugared deduced-as-type.
* Template argument deduction machinery analyses the sugared type all the way
down. It would previously lose the sugar on first recursion.
* Undeduced AutoType will be properly canonicalized, including the constraint
template arguments.
* Remove the decltype node created from the decltype(auto) deduction.

As a result, we start seeing sugared types in a lot more test cases,
including some which showed very unfriendly `type-parameter-*-*` types.

Pratyush Das 99d63ccff0 Add type information to integral template argument if required.
Non-comprehensive list of cases:
 * Dumping template arguments;
 * Corresponding parameter contains a deduced type;
 * Template arguments are for a DeclRefExpr that hadMultipleCandidates()

Type information is added in the form of prefixes (u8, u, U, L),
suffixes (U, L, UL, LL, ULL) or explicit casts to printed integral template
argument, if MSVC codeview mode is disabled.

Richard Smith 6bbfa0fd40 When performing template argument deduction to select a partial
specialization while substituting a partial template parameter pack,
don't try to extend the existing deduction.

This caused us to select the wrong partial specialization in some rare
cases. A recent change to libc++ caused this to happen in practice for
code using std::conjunction.

Simon Pilgrim 2901dc7575 Don't directly dereference getAs<> casts to avoid potential null dereferences. NFCI.
Replace with castAs<> which asserts the cast is valid.

Fixes a number of static analyzer warnings.

Richard Smith 622f8de4f2 PR49724: Fix deduction of null member pointers.
Previously we created an implicit cast of the wrong kind, which we'd
later fail to constant-evaluate, resulting in deduction failure.

Anastasia Stulova 0c65993be1 [OpenCL] Fix default address space in template argument deduction.
When deducing a reference type for forwarding references prevent
adding default address space of a template argument if it is given.

This got reported in PR48896 because in OpenCL all parameters are
in private address space and therefore when we initialize a
forwarding reference with a parameter we should just inherit the
address space from it i.e. keep __private instead of __generic.

Hans Wennborg 8ba442bc21 Revert "Following up on PR48517, fix handling of template arguments that refer"
Combined with 'da98651 - Revert "DR2064:
decltype(E) is only a dependent', this change (5a391d3) caused verifier
errors when building Chromium. See https://crbug.com/1168494#c1 for a
reproducer.

Additionally it reverts changes that were dependent on this one, see
below.

This reverts commit 5a391d38ac.

It also restores clang/test/SemaCXX/coroutines.cpp to its state before
da986511fb.

This reverts commit 4b574008ae.

This reverts commit 18e093faf7.
