Joel E. Denny c2575a376a [Attr] Print enum attributes at correct position
For example, given:

  void fn() {
    enum __attribute__((deprecated)) T *p;
  }

-ast-print produced:

  void fn() {
    enum T __attribute__((deprecated(""))) *p;
  }

-ast-print on that produced:

  void fn() {
    enum T *p __attribute__((deprecated("")));
  }

The attribute is on enum T in the first case, but it's on p in the
other cases.

Details:

Within enum declarations, enum attributes were always printed after
the tag and any member list. When no member list was present but the
enum was a type specifier in a variable declaration, the attribute
then applied to the variable not the enum, changing the semantics.

This patch fixes that by always printing attributes between the enum's
keyword and tag, as clang already does for structs, unions, and
classes.

Aleksei Sidorin 04fbffcc52 [ASTImporter] Allow testing of import sequences; fix import of typedefs for anonymous decls
This patch introduces the ability to test an arbitrary sequence of imports
between a given set of virtual source files. This should finally allow
us to write simple tests and fix annoying issues inside ASTImporter
that cause failures in CSA CTU. This is done by refactoring
ASTImporterTest functions and introducing `testImportSequence` facility.
As a side effect, `testImport` facility was generalized a bit more. It
should now allow import of non-decl AST nodes; however, there is still no
test using this ability.

As a "test for test", there is also a fix for import anonymous TagDecls
referred by typedef. Before this patch, the setting of typedef for anonymous
structure was delayed; however, this approach misses the corner case if
an enum constant is imported directly. In this patch, typedefs for
anonymous declarations are imported right after the anonymous declaration
is imported, without any delay.

Thanks to Adam Balogh for suggestions included into this patch.

Erich Keane 41af971375 Limit types of builtins that can be redeclared.
As reported here: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37033
Any usage of a builtin function that uses a va_list by reference
will cause an assertion when redeclaring it.

After discussion in the review, it was concluded that the correct
way of accomplishing this fix is to make attempts to redeclare certain
builtins an error. Unfortunately, doing this limitation for all builtins
is likely a breaking change, so this commit simply limits it to
types with custom type checking and those that take a reference.

Two tests needed to be updated to make this work.

We track "is C++11 standard-layout class" separately from "is

Akira Hatanaka fcbe17c6be [ObjC++] Make parameter passing and function return compatible with ObjC
ObjC and ObjC++ pass non-trivial structs in a way that is incompatible
with each other. For example:

typedef struct {
  id f0;
  __weak id f1;
} S;

// this code is compiled in c++.
extern "C" {
  void foo(S s);
}

void caller() {
  // the caller passes the parameter indirectly and destructs it.
  foo(S());
}

// this function is compiled in c.
// 'a' is passed directly and is destructed in the callee.
void foo(S a) {
}

This patch fixes the incompatibility by passing and returning structs
with __strong or weak fields using the C ABI in C++ mode. __strong and
__weak fields in a struct do not cause the struct to be destructed in
the caller and __strong fields do not cause the struct to be passed
indirectly.

Also, this patch fixes the microsoft ABI bug mentioned here:

Reid Kleckner eed882022f [MS] Fix bug in method vfptr location code
We were assuming that vbtable indices were assigned in layout order in
our comparison, which is not the case. When a virtual method, such as
the destructor, appears in multiple vftables, the vftable that appears
first in object layout order is the one that points to the main
implementation of that method. The later vftables use thunks.

In this layout, we adjusted "this" in the main implementation by the
amount that is appropriate for 'B' instead of 'A', even though the main
implementation is found in D's vftable for A:

  struct A {
    virtual ~A() {}
  };
  struct B {
    virtual ~B() {}
  };
  struct C : virtual B {};
  struct D : virtual A, C {};

D's layout looks like:
   0 D subobject (empty)
   0 C base suboject
   8 A base subobject
  16 B base subobject

With this fix, we correctly adjust by -8 in D's deleting destructor
instead of -16.

Joel E. Denny 4925445958 [Attr] Fix parameter indexing for several attributes
The patch fixes a number of bugs related to parameter indexing in
attributes:

* Parameter indices in some attributes (argument_with_type_tag,
  pointer_with_type_tag, nonnull, ownership_takes, ownership_holds,
  and ownership_returns) are specified in source as one-origin
  including any C++ implicit this parameter, were stored as
  zero-origin excluding any this parameter, and were erroneously
  printing (-ast-print) and confusingly dumping (-ast-dump) as the
  stored values.

* For alloc_size, the C++ implicit this parameter was not subtracted
  correctly in Sema, leading to assert failures or to silent failures
  of __builtin_object_size to compute a value.

* For argument_with_type_tag, pointer_with_type_tag, and
  ownership_returns, the C++ implicit this parameter was not added
  back to parameter indices in some diagnostics.

This patch fixes the above bugs and aims to prevent similar bugs in
the future by introducing careful mechanisms for handling parameter
indices in attributes. ParamIdx stores a parameter index and is
designed to hide the stored encoding while providing accessors that
require each use (such as printing) to make explicit the encoding that
is needed. Attribute declarations declare parameter index arguments
as [Variadic]ParamIdxArgument, which are exposed as ParamIdx[*]. This
patch rewrites all attribute arguments that are processed by
checkFunctionOrMethodParameterIndex in SemaDeclAttr.cpp to be declared
as [Variadic]ParamIdxArgument. The only exception is xray_log_args's
argument, which is encoded as a count not an index.

So I wrote a clang-tidy check to lint out redundant `isa`, `cast`, and
`dyn_cast`s for fun. This is a portion of what it found for clang; I
plan to do similar cleanups in LLVM and other subprojects when I find
time.

Because of the volume of changes, I explicitly avoided making any change
that wasn't highly local and obviously correct to me (e.g. we still have
a number of foo(cast<Bar>(baz)) that I didn't touch, since overloading
is a thing and the cast<Bar> did actually change the type -- just up the
class hierarchy).

I also tried to leave the types we were cast<>ing to somewhere nearby,
in cases where it wasn't locally obvious what we were dealing with

Declaring __strong pointer fields in structs was not allowed in

Special functions for non-trivial C structs are synthesized that are
needed to default-initialize, copy/move, and destroy the structs and
manage the ownership of the objects the __strong pointer fields point
to. Non-trivial structs passed to functions are destructed in the callee

Richard Smith 77a9c60aa6 Fix a couple of cases where we would fail to correctly parse deduced class template specialization types.
Specifically, we would not properly parse these types within template arguments
(for non-type template parameters), and in tentative parses. Fixing both of
these essentially requires that we parse deduced template specialization types
as types in all contexts, even in template argument lists -- in particular,
tentative parsing may look ahead and annotate a deduced template specialization
type before we figure out that we're actually supposed to treat the tokens as a
template-name. We deal with this by simply permitting deduced template
specialization types when parsing template arguments, and converting them to
template template arguments.

Martin Storsjo 96b01bcfb6 [RecordLayout] Don't align to non-power-of-2 sizes when using -mms-bitfields
When targeting GNU/MinGW for i386, the size of the "long double" data
type is 12 bytes (while it is 8 bytes in MSVC). When building
with -mms-bitfields to have struct layouts match MSVC, data types
are laid out in a struct with alignment according to their size.
However, this doesn't make sense for the long double type, since
it doesn't match MSVC at all, and aligning to a non-power-of-2
size triggers other asserts later.

This matches what GCC does, aligning a long double to 4 bytes
in structs on i386 even when -mms-bitfields is specified.

This fixes asserts when using the max_align_t data type when
building for MinGW/i386 with the -mms-bitfields flag.

Summary:
-ast-print prints omp pragmas with a trailing space. While this
behavior is likely of little concern to most users, surely it's
unintentional, and it's annoying for some source-level work I'm

init_seg and loop hint pragmas because they share implementation.

The testing strategy here is to add usually just one '{{$}}' per
relevant -ast-print test file. This seems to achieve good code
coverage. However, this strategy is probably easy to forget as the
tests evolve. That's probably fine as this fix is far from critical.
The main goal of the testing is to aid the initial review.

This patch also adds a fixme for "#pragma unroll", which prints as

The 'trivial_abi' attribute can be applied to a C++ class, struct, or

and copy/move constructors) to be trivial for the purpose of calls and,
as a result, enables the annotated class or containing classes to be
passed or returned using the C ABI for the underlying type.

When a type that is considered trivial for the purpose of calls despite
having a non-trivial destructor (which happens only when the class type
or one of its subobjects is a 'trivial_abi' class) is passed to a
function, the callee is responsible for destroying the object.

Saleem Abdulrasool f591e36b89 AST: support protocol conformances on id/class/interfaces in MS ABI
Add support for mangling ObjC protocol conformances in MS ABI as if they are
COM interfaces. By diverging from the itanium mangling of `objc_protocol`
prefixed names, this approach allows for a semi-reasonable, albeit of
questionable sanity, undecoration via existing tooling. There is also the
possibility of adding an extension and taking part of the namespace to add the
conformance via the `L` and `Z` "modifiers", but the existing tooling would not
be able to properly undecorated the symbol even though incidentally `undname`
currently produces something legible while wine's implementation is not able to
cope with the extension.

This allows for the disambiguation of overloads where the parameter differs
only in the protocol conformance of the ObjC type, e.g.

```
@protocol P;
void f(std::vector<id>);
void f(std::vector<id<P>>);
```

which clang would previously fail due to the mangling being identical as the
protocol conformance was ignored.

Artem Belevich 224879ea47 [DeclPrinter] Fix two cases that crash clang -ast-print.
Both are related to handling anonymous structures.
* clang didn't handle () around an anonymous struct variable.
* clang also crashed on syntax errors that could lead to other
  syntactic constructs following the declaration of an
  anonymous struct. While the code is invalid, that's not
  a good reason to panic compiler.

Sam McCall 091b1efafb Ensure code complete with !LoadExternal sees all local decls.
Summary:
noload_lookups() was too lazy: in addition to avoiding external decls, it
avoided populating the lazy lookup structure for internal decls.
This is the right behavior for the existing callsite in ASTDumper, but I think
it's not a very useful default, so we populate it by default.

While here:
 - remove an unused test file accidentally added in r322371.
 - remove lookups_begin()/lookups_end() in favor of lookups().begin(), which is
   more common and more efficient.

Erich Keane 281d20b601 Implement Attribute Target MultiVersioning
GCC's attribute 'target', in addition to being an optimization hint,
also allows function multiversioning. We currently have the former
implemented, this is the latter's implementation.

This works by enabling functions with the same name/signature to coexist,
so that they can all be emitted. Multiversion state is stored in the
FunctionDecl itself, and SemaDecl manages the definitions.
Note that it ends up having to permit redefinition of functions so
that they can all be emitted. Additionally, all versions of the function
must be emitted, so this also manages that.

Note that this includes some additional rules that GCC does not, since
defining something as a MultiVersion function after a usage has been made illegal.

The only 'history rewriting' that happens is if a function is emitted before
it has been converted to a multiversion'ed function, at which point its name
needs to be changed.

Function templates and virtual functions are NOT yet supported (not supported
in GCC either).

Additionally, constructors/destructors are disallowed, but the former is
planned.

Stephan Bergmann 8c85bca5a5 No -fsanitize=function warning when calling noexcept function through non-noexcept pointer in C++17
As discussed in the mail thread <https://groups.google.com/a/isocpp.org/forum/
#!topic/std-discussion/T64_dW3WKUk> "Calling noexcept function throug non-
noexcept pointer is undefined behavior?", such a call should not be UB.
However, Clang currently warns about it.

This change removes exception specifications from the function types recorded
for -fsanitize=function, both in the functions themselves and at the call sites.
That means that calling a non-noexcept function through a noexcept pointer will
also not be flagged as UB. In the review of this change, that was deemed
acceptable, at least for now. (See the "TODO" in compiler-rt
test/ubsan/TestCases/TypeCheck/Function/function.cpp.)

To remove exception specifications from types, the existing internal
ASTContext::getFunctionTypeWithExceptionSpec was made public, and some places
otherwise unrelated to this change have been adapted to call it, too.

This is the cfe part of a patch covering both cfe and compiler-rt.

Faisal Vali 090da2d1ac Again reverting an attempt to convert the DeclSpec enums into scoped enums.
- reverts r321622, r321625, and r321626.
  - the use of bit-fields is still resulting in warnings - even though we can use static-asserts to harden the code and ensure the bit-fields are wide enough. The bots still complain of warnings being seen.
  - to silence the warnings requires specifying the bit-fields with the underlying enum type (as opposed to the enum type itself), which then requires lots of unnecessary static casts of each enumerator within DeclSpec to the underlying-type, which even though could be seen as implementation details, it does hamper readability - and given the additional litterings, makes me question the value of the change.

So in short - I give up (for now at least).

check the new comparison operator, clang-format needed updating because it uses
precedence levels as weights for determining where to break lines (and several
operators increased their precedence levels with this change), thread-safety
analysis needed changes to build its own IL properly for the new operator.

All "real" semantic checking for this operator has been deferred to a future

and llvm::SmallSet sorts them by their non-deterministic addresses after
"small" container is exceeded. This leads to non-deterministic processing
of the elements of the container.

The fix is to use llvm::SmallSetVector that was designed to have
deterministic iteration order.

Richard Smith e2467b7aed PR22763: if a defaulted (non-user-provided) special member function is
explicitly instantiated, still emit it with each use.

We don't emit a definition of the member with an explicit instantiation
definition (and indeed it appears that we're not allowed to, since an explicit
instantiation definition does not constitute an odr-use and only odr-use
permits definition for defaulted special members). So we still need to emit a
weak definition with each use.

This also makes defaulted-in-class declarations behave more like
implicitly-declared special members, which matches their design intent.
And it matches the way this problem was solved in GCC.

Richard Smith 85567ddaba [modules] Fix crash in complex class merging scenario.
When we merge together class definitions, we can end up with the canonical
declaration of a field not being the one that was lexically within the
canonical definition of the class. Additionally, when we merge class
definitions via update records (eg, for a template specialization whose
declaration is instantiated in one module and whose definition is instantiated
in multiple others), we can end up with the list of lexical contents for the
class not including a particular declaration of a field whose lexical parent is
that class definition. In the worst case, we have a field whose canonical
declaration's lexical parent has no fields, and in that case this attempt to
number the fields by walking the fields in the declaration of the class that
contained one of the canonical fields will fail.

Instead, when numbering fields in a class, do the obvious thing: walk the
fields in the definition.

I'm still trying to reduce a testcase; the setup that leads to the above
scenario seems to be quite fragile.

Alexander Richardson 6d989436d0 Convert clang::LangAS to a strongly typed enum
Summary:
Convert clang::LangAS to a strongly typed enum

Currently both clang AST address spaces and target specific address spaces
are represented as unsigned which can lead to subtle errors if the wrong
type is passed. It is especially confusing in the CodeGen files as it is
not possible to see what kind of address space should be passed to a
function without looking at the implementation.
I originally made this change for our LLVM fork for the CHERI architecture
where we make extensive use of address spaces to differentiate between
capabilities and pointers. When merging the upstream changes I usually
run into some test failures or runtime crashes because the wrong kind of
address space is passed to a function. By converting the LangAS enum to a
C++11 we can catch these errors at compile time. Additionally, it is now
obvious from the function signature which kind of address space it expects.

I found the following errors while writing this patch:

- ItaniumRecordLayoutBuilder::LayoutField was passing a clang AST address
  space to  TargetInfo::getPointer{Width,Align}()
- TypePrinter::printAttributedAfter() prints the numeric value of the
  clang AST address space instead of the target address space.
  However, this code is not used so I kept the current behaviour
- initializeForBlockHeader() in CGBlocks.cpp was passing
  LangAS::opencl_generic to TargetInfo::getPointer{Width,Align}()
- CodeGenFunction::EmitBlockLiteral() was passing a AST address space to
  TargetInfo::getPointerWidth()
- CGOpenMPRuntimeNVPTX::translateParameter() passed a target address space
  to Qualifiers::addAddressSpace()
- CGOpenMPRuntimeNVPTX::getParameterAddress() was using
  llvm::Type::getPointerTo() with a AST address space
- clang_getAddressSpace() returns either a LangAS or a target address
  space. As this is exposed to C I have kept the current behaviour and
  added a comment stating that it is probably not correct.

Other than this the patch should not cause any functional changes.

Currently Clang uses default address space (0) to represent private address space for OpenCL

Multiple address spaces including private address space cannot be diagnosed.

Sean Callanan 967d438439 Add support for remembering origins to ExternalASTMerger
ExternalASTMerger has hitherto relied on being able to look up
any Decl through its named DeclContext chain. This works for
many cases, but causes problems for function-local structs,
which cannot be looked up in their containing FunctionDecl. An
example case is

void f() {
  { struct S { int a; }; }
  { struct S { bool b; }; }
}

It is not possible to lookup either of the two Ses individually
(or even to provide enough information to disambiguate) after
parsing is over; and there is typically no need to, since they
are invisible to the outside world.

However, ExternalASTMerger needs to be able to complete either
S on demand. This led to an XFAIL on test/Import/local-struct,
which this patch removes. The way the patch works is:

It defines a new data structure, ExternalASTMerger::OriginMap,
which clients are expected to maintain (default-constructing
if the origin does not have an ExternalASTMerger servicing it)
As DeclContexts are imported, if they cannot be looked up by
name they are placed in the OriginMap. This allows
ExternalASTMerger to complete them later if necessary.
As DeclContexts are imported from an origin that already has
its own OriginMap, the origins are forwarded – but only for
those DeclContexts that are actually used. This keeps the
amount of stored data minimal.

The patch also applies several improvements from review:

- Thoroughly documents the interface to ExternalASTMerger;
- Adds optional logging to help track what's going on; and
- Cleans up a bunch of braces and dangling elses.

This doesn't affect our code generation in any material way -- we already give

We suppress the 'L' (internal linkage) marker for mangled names in anonymous

namespace); this deviates from GCC's behavior if a variable or function in an
anonymous namespace is redundantly declared 'static' (where GCC does include
the 'L'), but GCC's behavior is incoherent because such a declaration can be
validly declared with or without the 'static'.

We still deviate from the standard in one regard here: extern "C" declarations
in anonymous namespaces are still granted external linkage. Changing those does
not appear to have been an intentional consequence of the standard change in
DR1113.

Gabor Horvath e350b0a196 Add Cross Translation Unit support library
This patch introduces a class that can help to build tools that require cross
translation unit facilities. This class allows function definitions to be loaded
from external AST files based on an index. In order to use this functionality an
index is required. The index format is a flat text file but it might be
replaced with a different solution in the near future. USRs are used as names to
look up the functions definitions. This class also does caching to avoid
redundant loading of AST files.

Right now only function defnitions can be loaded using this API because this is
what the in progress cross translation unit feature of the Static Analyzer
requires. In to future this might be extended to classes, types etc.

If a function or variable has a type with no linkage (and is not extern "C"),
any use of it requires a definition within the same translation unit; the idea
is that it is not possible to define the entity elsewhere, so any such use is
necessarily an error.

There is an exception, though: some types formally have no linkage but

happens to anonymous structures defined within inline functions). For entities

Saleem Abdulrasool 5a3e50a3e6 ObjC++: decorate ObjC interfaces in MSABI properly
`id` needs to be handled specially since it is a `TypedefType` which is
sugar for an `ObjCObjectPointerType` whose pointee is an
`ObjCObjectType` with base `BuiltinType::ObjCIdType` and no protocols
and the first level of pointer gets it own type implementation. `Class`
is similar with the `ObjCClassType` as the base instead.

The qualifiers on the base type of the `ObjCObjectType` need to be
dropped because the innermost `mangleType` will handle the qualifiers
itself.

`id` is desugared to `struct objc_object *` which should be encoded as
`PAUobjc_object@@`.  `Class` is desugared to `struct objc_class *` which
should be encoded as `PAUobjc_class@@`.

We were previously applying an extra modifier `A` which will be handled
during the recursive call.

This now properly decorates interface types as well as `Class` and `id`.
This corrects the interactions between C++ and ObjC++ for the type
specifier decoration.

This fixes ABI differences between Clang and GCC:

 * Previously, Clang ignored the move constructor when making this
   determination. It now takes the move constructor into account, per
   https://github.com/itanium-cxx-abi/cxx-abi/pull/17 (this change may
   seem recent, but the ABI change was agreed on the Itanium C++ ABI
   list a long time ago).

 * Previously, Clang's behavior when the copy constructor was deleted
   was unstable -- depending on whether the lazy declaration of the
   copy constructor had been triggered, you might get different behavior.
   We now eagerly declare the copy constructor whenever its deletedness
   is unclear, and ignore deleted copy/move constructors when looking for
   a trivial such constructor.

This also fixes an ABI difference between Clang and MSVC:

 * If the copy constructor would be implicitly deleted (but has not been
   lazily declared yet), for instance because the class has an rvalue
   reference member, we would pass it directly. We now pass such a class
   indirectly, matching MSVC.

George Burgess IV 99db3ea690 [AST] Move visibility computations into a class; NFC
This is patch 1 in a 2 patch series that aims to fix PR29160. Its goal
is to cache decl visibility/linkage for the duration of each
visibility+linkage query.

The simplest way I can see to do this is to put the visibility
calculation code that needs to (transitively) access this cache into a
class, which is what this patch does. Actual caching will come in patch
2. (Another way would be to keep the cache in ASTContext + manually
invalidate it or something, but that felt way too subtle to me.)

Caching visibility results across multiple queries seems a bit tricky,
since the user can add visibility attributes ~whenever they want, and
these attributes can apparently have far-reaching effects (e.g. class
visibility extends to its members, ...). Because a cache that's dropped
at the end of each top-level query seems to work nearly as well and
doesn't require any eviction logic, I opted for that design.

Yaxun Liu 39195062c2 Add OpenCL 2.0 atomic builtin functions as Clang builtin
OpenCL 2.0 atomic builtin functions have a scope argument which is ideally
represented as synchronization scope argument in LLVM atomic instructions.

Clang supports translating Clang atomic builtin functions to LLVM atomic
instructions. However it currently does not support synchronization scope
of LLVM atomic instructions. Without this, users have to use LLVM assembly
code to implement OpenCL atomic builtin functions.

This patch adds OpenCL 2.0 atomic builtin functions as Clang builtin
functions, which supports generating LLVM atomic instructions with
synchronization scope operand.

Currently only constant memory scope argument is supported. Support of
non-constant memory scope argument will be added later.

Alex Lorenz 50b2dd336e [ObjC] Pick a 'readwrite' property when synthesizing ambiguous
property and check for incompatible attributes

This commit changes the way ambiguous property synthesis (i.e. when synthesizing
a property that's declared in multiple protocols) is performed. Previously,
Clang synthesized the first property that was found. This lead to problems when
the property was synthesized in a class that conformed to two protocols that
declared that property and a second protocols had a 'readwrite' declaration -
the setter was not synthesized so the class didn't really conform to the second
protocol and user's code would crash at runtime when they would try to set the
property.

This commit ensures that a first readwrite property is selected. This is a
semantic change that changes users code in this manner:

```
@protocol P @property(readonly) int p; @end
@protocol P2 @property(readwrite) id p; @end
@interface I <P2> @end
@implementation I
@syntesize p; // Users previously got a warning here, and Clang synthesized
              // readonly 'int p' here. Now Clang synthesizes readwrite 'id' p..
@end
```

To ensure that this change is safe, the warning about incompatible types is
promoted to an error when this kind of readonly/readwrite ambiguity is detected
in the @implementation. This will ensure that previous code that had this subtle
bug and ignored the warning now will fail to compile with an error, and users
should not get suprises at runtime once they resolve the error.

The commit also extends the ambiguity checker, and now it can detect conflicts
among the different property attributes. An error diagnostic is used for
conflicting attributes, to ensure that the user won't get "suprises" at runtime.

ProtocolPropertyMap is removed in favour of a a set + vector because the map's
order of iteration is non-deterministic, so it couldn't be used to select the
readwrite property.

This allows us to set declarations as visible even if they have a local owning

support can keep on incorrectly assuming the "hidden" bit on the declaration is
the whole story with regard to name visibility. This will also be useful once
we support the C++ Modules TS export semantics.

Objective-C name visibility is still incorrect in any case where the "hidden"
bit is not the complete story: for instance, in Objective-C++ the set of
visible categories will be wrong during template instantiation, and with local
submodule visibility enabled it will be wrong when building modules. Fixing that
will require a major overhaul of how visibility is handled for Objective-C (and
particularly for categories).

This patch enables us to remove the lookup entry is registered in the semantic

Summary:
setMustBuildLookupTable should be called on imported TagDecls otherwise we may fail

Not calling the setMustBuildLookupTable method results in a failure in the attached test
case when lookup for the 'x' member fails on struct S, which hasn't had its decls imported
elsewhere. (By contrast the member-in-struct testcase hasn't run into this issue
because the import of its decls is triggered when the struct instance is defined, and the
member access follows this).

- Adds a test case making sure that conflicting

- Extends the clang-import-test harness to test
  two-level importing, so that we make sure we
  complete types when necessary; and
- Fixes a few bugs I found this way. Failure to

Daniel Jasper ffdee09350 Revert r301822 (and dependent r301825), which tried to improve the
handling of constexprs with unknown bounds.

This triggers a corner case of the language where it's not yet clear
whether this should be an error:

  struct A {
    static void *const a[];
    static void *const b[];
  };
  constexpr void *A::a[] = {&b[0]};
  constexpr void *A::b[] = {&a[0]};

When discovering the initializer for A::a, the bounds of A::b aren't known yet.
It is unclear whether warning about errors should be deferred until the end of
the translation unit, possibly resolving errors that can be resolved. In
practice, the compiler can know the bounds of all arrays in this example.

The fix is that ExprEvaluatorBase::VisitInitListExpr should handle transparent exprs instead of exprs with one element. Fixing that uncovers one testcase failure because the AST for "constexpr _Complex float test2 = {1};" is wrong (the _Complex prvalue should not be const-qualified), and a number of test failures in test/OpenMP where the captured stmt contains an InitListExpr that is in syntactic form.

Alex Lorenz 00353a0bf9 -Wdocumentation should not check the @returns command for Objective-C
function/block pointer properties

The commit r300981 allowed @param/@return commands for function/block
pointer property declarations. This meant that -Wdocumentation started warning
about @return that was used to document properties whose function/block type
returned void. However, prior to that commit, we allowed @return for all
property declarations, because it can be used to document the value that's
returned by the property getter. This commit restores the previous behaviour:
now the @return command can be used to document all properties without warnings.

Alex Lorenz 6b82a75df5 [PR32667] -Wdocumentation should allow @param/@returns for fields/variables
that have a function/block pointer type

This commit improves the -Wdocumentation warning by making sure that @param and
@returns commands won't trigger warnings when used for fields, variables,
or properties whose type is a function/block pointer type. The
function/block pointer type must be specified directly with the declaration,
and when a typedef is used the warning is still emitted.

In the future we might also want to handle the std::function type as well.

the efficiency improvement of not having to deserialize the whole list whenever
any function is queried by a module user is worth it for the small size

This patch fixes an issue where these statements would never be built for coroutine templates.

It also fixes a small issue where diagnostics about `get_return_object_on_allocation_failure()` were incorrectly suppressed.

Sema holds the current FPOptions which is adjusted by 'pragma STDC
FP_CONTRACT'. This then gets propagated into expression nodes as they are

This encapsulates FPOptions so that this propagation happens opaquely rather

also allow adding more fast-math flags later.

This is toward moving fp-contraction=fast from an LLVM TargetOption to a

Chandler Carruth 9b3607f0a6 [nonnull] Teach Clang to attach the nonnull LLVM attribute to
declarations and calls instead of just definitions, and then teach it to
*not* attach such attributes even if the source code contains them.

This follows the design direction discussed on cfe-dev here:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/cfe-dev/2017-January/052066.html

The idea is that for C standard library builtins, even if the library
vendor chooses to annotate their routines with __attribute__((nonnull)),
we will ignore those attributes which pertain to pointer arguments that
have an associated size. This allows the widespread (and seemingly
reasonable) pattern of calling these routines with a null pointer and
a zero size. I have only done this for the library builtins currently
recognized by Clang, but we can now trivially add to this set. This will
be controllable with -fno-builtin if anyone should care to do so.

Note that this does *not* change the AST. As a consequence, warnings,
static analysis, and source code rewriting are not impacted.

This isn't even a regression on any platform as neither Clang nor LLVM
have ever put 'nonnull' onto these arguments for declarations. All this
patch does is enable it on other declarations while preventing us from
ever accidentally enabling it on these libc functions due to a library
vendor.

It will also allow any other libraries using this annotation to gain
optimizations based on the annotation even when only a declaration is
visible.

Akira Hatanaka 3c268af42f Add support for attribute enum_extensibility.
This commit adds support for a new attribute that will be used to
distinguish between extensible and inextensible enums. There are three
main purposes of this attribute:

1. Give better control over when enum-related warnings are issued.
For example, in the code below, clang will not issue a -Wassign-enum
warning if the enum is marked "open":

enum __attribute__((enum_extensibility(closed))) EnumClosed {
  B0 = 1, B1 = 10
};

enum __attribute__((enum_extensibility(open))) EnumOpen {
  C0 = 1, C1 = 10
};

enum EnumClosed ec = 100; // warning issued
enum EnumOpen eo = 100; // no warning

2. Enable code-completion and debugging tools to offer better
suggestions.

3. Make it easier for swift's clang importer to determine which swift
type an enum should be mapped to.
