Alexey Bataev 5a3af13d93 [OPENMP] Remove extra code transformation.
For better support of some specific GNU extensions some extra
transformation of AST nodes were introduced. These transformations are
very hard to handle. The code is improved in handling of these
extensions by using captured expressions construct.

Faisal Vali b8b04f8526 [NFC] Tweak diagnostic for template template arguments, to include template aliases.
The prior diagnostic (err_template_arg_not_class_template) would state that the template argument to a template template parameter can only be a class template, when it can also be a template alias. The newly renamed diagnostic (err_template_arg_not_valid_template) mentions template aliases.

Faisal Vali a734ab9808 [Cxx1z-constexpr-lambda-P0170R1] Support parsing of constexpr specifier (and its inference) on lambda expressions
Support the constexpr specifier on lambda expressions - and support its inference from the lambda call operator's body.

i.e.
  auto L = [] () constexpr { return 5; };
  static_assert(L() == 5); // OK
  auto Implicit = [] (auto a) { return a; };
  static_assert(Implicit(5) == 5);

We do not support evaluation of lambda's within constant expressions just yet.

Implementation Strategy:
  - teach ParseLambdaExpressionAfterIntroducer to expect a constexpr specifier and mark the invented function call operator's declarator's decl-specifier with it; Have it emit fixits for multiple decl-specifiers (mutable or constexpr) in this location.
  - for cases where constexpr is not explicitly specified, have buildLambdaExpr check whether the invented function call operator satisfies the requirements of a constexpr function, by calling CheckConstexprFunctionDecl/Body.

Much obliged to Richard Smith for his patience and his care, in ensuring the code is clang-worthy.

George Burgess IV 6da4c20f7d [Sema] Allow implicit conversions of &overloaded_fn in C.
Also includes a minor ``enable_if`` docs update.

Currently, our address-of overload machinery will only allow implicit
conversions of overloaded functions to void* in C. For example:

```
void f(int) __attribute__((overloadable));
void f(double) __attribute__((overloadable, enable_if(0, "")));
void *fp = f; // OK. This is C and the target is void*.
void (*fp2)(void) = f; // Error. This is C, but the target isn't void*.
```

This patch makes the assignment of `fp2` select the `f(int)` overload,
rather than emitting an error (N.B. you'll still get a warning about the
`fp2` assignment if you use -Wincompatible-pointer-types).

Faisal Vali dc6b596ebb [Cxx1z] Implement Lambda Capture of *this by Value as [=,*this] (P0018R3)
Implement lambda capture of *this by copy.
For e.g.:
struct A {

  int d = 10;
  auto foo() { return [*this] (auto a) mutable { d+=a; return d; }; }

};

auto L = A{}.foo(); // A{}'s lifetime is gone.

// Below is still ok, because *this was captured by value.
assert(L(10) == 20);
assert(L(100) == 120);

If the capture was implicit, or [this] (i.e. *this was captured by reference), this code would be otherwise undefined.

Implementation Strategy:
  - amend the parser to accept *this in the lambda introducer
  - add a new king of capture LCK_StarThis
  - teach Sema::CheckCXXThisCapture to handle by copy captures of the
    enclosing object (i.e. *this)
  - when CheckCXXThisCapture does capture by copy, the corresponding
    initializer expression for the closure's data member
    direct-initializes it thus making a copy of '*this'.
  - in codegen, when assigning to CXXThisValue, if *this was captured by
    copy, make sure it points to the corresponding field member, and
    not, unlike when captured by reference, what the field member points
    to.
  - mark feature as implemented in svn

Carlo Bertolli b74bfc80a4 [OPENMP] Implementation of codegen for firstprivate clause of target directive
This patch implements the following aspects:

It extends sema to check that a variable is not reference in both a map clause and firstprivate or private. This is needed to ensure correct functioning at codegen level, apart from being useful for the user.
It implements firstprivate for target in codegen. The implementation applies to both host and nvptx devices.
It adds regression tests for codegen of firstprivate, host and device side when using the host as device, and nvptx side.
Please note that the regression test for nvptx codegen is missing VLAs. This is because VLAs currently require saving and restoring the stack which appears not to be a supported operation by nvptx backend.

It adds a check in sema regression tests for target map, firstprivate, and private clauses.

This feature works outside of templates by forming a DeclRefExpr to a

addition to the FieldDecl.

Previously, while building up the template AST before instantiation, we
formed a CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr, which always instantiates to a
MemberExpr. Now, in unevaluated contexts we form a
DependentScopeDeclRefExpr, which is a more flexible node that can
instantiate to either a MemberExpr or a DeclRefExpr depending on lookup
results.

Manman Ren 073db02476 Add TreatUnavailableAsInvalid for the verification-only mode in InitListChecker.
Given the following test case:
typedef struct {
  const char *name;
  id field;
} Test9;
extern void doSomething(Test9 arg);
void test9() {
  Test9 foo2 = {0, 0};
  doSomething(foo2);
}
With a release compiler, we don't emit any message and silently ignore the
variable "foo2". With an assert compiler, we get an assertion failure.

The root cause —————————————
Back in r140457 we gave InitListChecker a verification-only mode, and will use
CanUseDecl instead of DiagnoseUseOfDecl for verification-only mode.

These two functions handle unavailable issues differently:
In Sema::CanUseDecl, we say the decl is invalid when the Decl is unavailable and
the current context is available.

In Sema::DiagnoseUseOfDecl, we say the decl is usable by ignoring the return
code of DiagnoseAvailabilityOfDecl

So with an assert build, we will hit an assertion in diagnoseListInit
assert(DiagnoseInitList.HadError() &&
       "Inconsistent init list check result.");

The fix -------------------
If we follow what is implemented in CanUseDecl and treat Decls with
unavailable issues as invalid, the variable decl of “foo2” will be marked as
invalid. Since unavailable checking is processed in delayed diagnostics
(r197627), we will silently ignore the diagnostics when we find out that
the variable decl is invalid.

We add a flag "TreatUnavailableAsInvalid" for the verification-only mode.
For overload resolution, we want to say decls with unavailable issues are
invalid; but for everything else, we should say they are valid and
emit diagnostics. Depending on the value of the flag, CanUseDecl
can return different values for unavailable issues.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith 8536392a83 Sema: Methods in unavailable classes are unavailable
Similar to the template cases in r262050, when a C++ method in an
unavailable struct/class calls unavailable API, don't diagnose an error.
I.e., this case was failing:

    void foo() __attribute__((unavailable));
    struct __attribute__((unavailable)) A {
      void bar() { foo(); }
    };

Since A is unavailable, A::bar is allowed to call foo. However, we were
emitting a diagnostic here. This commit checks up the context chain
from A::bar, in a manner inspired by SemaDeclAttr.cpp:isDeclUnavailable.

I expected to find other related issues but failed to trigger them:

- I wondered if DeclBase::getAvailability should check for
  `TemplateDecl` instead of `FunctionTemplateDecl`, but I couldn't find
  a way to trigger this. I left behind a few extra tests to make sure
  we don't regress.

- I wondered if Sema::isFunctionConsideredUnavailable should be
  symmetric, checking up the context chain of the callee (this commit
  only checks up the context chain of the caller). However, I couldn't
  think of a testcase that didn't require first referencing the
  unavailable type; this, we already diagnose.

Duncan P. N. Exon Smith 5d6790c746 Sema: Treat 'strict' availability flag like unavailable
This is a follow-up to r261512, which made the 'strict' availability
attribute flag behave like 'unavailable'. However, that fix was
insufficient. The following case would (erroneously) error when the
deployment target was older than 10.9:

    struct __attribute__((availability(macosx,strict,introduced=10.9))) A;
    __attribute__((availability(macosx,strict,introduced=10.9))) void f(A*);

The use of A* in the argument list for f is valid here, since f and A
have the same availability.

The fix is to return AR_Unavailable from DeclBase::getAvailability
instead of AR_NotYetIntroduced. This also reverts the special handling
added in r261163, instead relying on the well-tested logic for
AR_Unavailable.

Summary:
While diagnosing a CXXNewExpr warning, we were calling isInSystemHeader(), which expect to be
called with a valid source location. This causes an assertion failure if the location is unknown.
A quick grep shows it's not without precedent to guard calls to the function with a

This fixes a test failure in LLDB, which always creates object with invalid source locations as it

Alexey Bataev 94a4f0cb5f [OPENMP 4.0] Initial support for 'omp declare reduction' construct.
Add parsing, sema analysis and serialization/deserialization for 'declare reduction' construct.
User-defined reductions are defined as

#pragma omp declare reduction( reduction-identifier : typename-list : combiner ) [initializer ( initializer-expr )]
These custom reductions may be used in 'reduction' clauses of OpenMP constructs. The combiner specifies how partial results can be combined into a single value. The
combiner can use the special variable identifiers omp_in and omp_out that are of the type of the variables being reduced with this reduction-identifier. Each of them will
denote one of the values to be combined before executing the combiner. It is assumed that the special omp_out identifier will refer to the storage that holds the resulting
combined value after executing the combiner.
As the initializer-expr value of a user-defined reduction is not known a priori the initializer-clause can be used to specify one. Then the contents of the initializer-clause
will be used as the initializer for private copies of reduction list items where the omp_priv identifier will refer to the storage to be initialized. The special identifier
omp_orig can also appear in the initializer-clause and it will refer to the storage of the original variable to be reduced.

with a prior UsingDecl -- those should not even really be found by the lookup
here, except that we use the same lookup results for two different checks, and
the other check needs them.

This happens to work in *almost all* cases, because either the lookup results
list the UsingDecl first (and the NonTag result gets replaced by something
else) or because the problematic declaration is a function (which causes us to
use different logic to detect conflicts). This can also be triggered from a
state only reachable through modules (where the name lookup results can contain
multiple UsingDecls in the same scope).

Saleem Abdulrasool cfd4553a7c Sema: prevent assertion on stack return checking
In the case that the array indexing itself is within a type dependent context,
bail out of the evaluation. We would previously try to symbolically evaluate
the expression which would then try to evaluate a non-address expression as an
address, triggering an assertion in Asserts builds.

We only need to consider the array subscript expression itself as in the case
that the base itself being type dependent is handled appropriately in EvalAddr.

Bob Wilson f5c53b859b [Sema] More changes to fix Objective-C fallout from r249995.
This is a follow-up to PR26085. That was fixed in r257710 but the testcase
there was incomplete. There is a related issue where the overload resolution
for Objective-C incorrectly picks a method that is not valid without a
bridge cast. The call to Sema::CheckSingleAssignmentConstraints that was
added to SemaOverload.cpp's IsStandardConversion() function does not catch
that case and reports that the method is Compatible even when it is not.

The root cause here is that various Objective-C-related functions in Sema
do not consistently return a value to indicate whether there was an error.
This was fine in the past because they would report diagnostics when needed,
but r257710 changed them to suppress reporting diagnostics when checking
during overload resolution.

This patch adds a new ACR_error result to the ARCConversionResult enum and
updates Sema::CheckObjCARCConversion to return that value when there is an
error. Most of the calls to that function do not check the return value,
so adding this new result does not affect them. The one exception is in
SemaCast.cpp where it specifically checks for ACR_unbridged, so that is
also OK. The call in Sema::CheckSingleAssignmentConstraints can then check
for an ACR_okay result and identify assignments as Incompatible. To
preserve the existing behavior, it only changes the return value to
Incompatible when the new Diagnose argument (from r257710) is false.

Similarly, the CheckObjCBridgeRelatedConversions and
ConversionToObjCStringLiteralCheck need to identify when an assignment is
Incompatible. Those functions already return appropriate values but they
need some fixes related to the new Diagnose argument.

Artem Belevich 186091094a [CUDA] Tweak attribute-based overload resolution to match nvcc behavior.
This is an artefact of split-mode CUDA compilation that we need to
mimic. HD functions are sometimes allowed to call H or D functions. Due
to split compilation mode device-side compilation will not see host-only
function and thus they will not be considered at all. For clang both H
and D variants will become function overloads visible to
compiler. Normally target attribute is considered only if C++ rules can
not determine which function is better. However in this case we need to
ignore functions that would not be present during current compilation
phase before we apply normal overload resolution rules.

Changes:
* introduced another level of call preference to better describe
  possible call combinations.
* removed WrongSide functions from consideration if the set contains
  SameSide function.
* disabled H->D, D->H and G->H calls. These combinations are
  not allowed by CUDA and we were reluctantly allowing them to work
  around device-side calls to math functions in std namespace.
  We no longer need it after r258880.

Nico Weber 26911c7733 Make ParentMap work with explicit specializations of function templates.
For an explicit specialization, we first build a FunctionDecl, and then
we call SubstDecl() on it to build a second FunctionDecl, which has the
first FunctionDecl as canonical decl.

The address of an explicit specialization of function template used to be the
canonical decl of the FunctionDecl. This is different from all the other
DeduceTemplateArguments() calls in SemaOverload, and since the canonical decl
isn't visited by ParentMap while the redecl is, it also made ParentMap assert
when computing the parent of a address-of-explicit-specialization-fun-template.

To fix, remove the getCanonicalDecl() call. No behavior difference for clang,
but it fixes an assert in ParentMap (which is e.g. used by libTooling).

Ben Langmuir f5416740fc Fix predefine for __NSConstantString struct type
Per review feedback the name was wrong and it can be used outside
Objective-C.

Unfortunately, making the internal struct visible broke some ASTMatchers
tests that assumed that the first record decl would be from user code,
rather than a builtin type. I'm worried that this will also affect
users' code. So this patch adds a typedef to wrap the internal struct
and only makes the typedef visible to namelookup. This is sufficient to
allow the ASTReader to merge the decls we need without making the struct
itself visible.

Quentin Colombet 043406b87f Reapply r259624, it is likely not the commit causing the bot failures.
Original message:
Make CF constant string decl visible to name lookup to fix module errors

The return type of the __builtin___*StringMakeConstantString functions
is a pointer to a struct, so we need that struct to be visible to name
lookup so that we will correctly merge multiple declarations of that
type if they come from different modules.

Incidentally, to make this visible to name lookup we need to rename the
type to __NSConstantString, since the real NSConstantString is an
Objective-C interface type. This shouldn't affect anyone outside the
compiler since users of the constant string builtins cast the result
immediately to CFStringRef.

Since this struct type is otherwise implicitly created by the AST
context and cannot access namelookup, we make this a predefined type
and initialize it in Sema.

Note: this issue of builtins that refer to types not visible to name
lookup technically also affects other builtins (e.g. objc_msgSendSuper),
but in all other cases the builtin is a library builtin and the issue
goes away if you include the library that defines the types it uses,
unlike for these constant string builtins.
