Amara Emerson 8a316045ed [AArch64][GlobalISel] Enable use of the optsize predicate in the selector.
To do this while supporting the existing functionality in SelectionDAG of using
PGO info, we add the ProfileSummaryInfo and LazyBlockFrequencyInfo analysis
dependencies to the instruction selector pass.

Then, use the predicate to generate constant pool loads for f32 materialization,
if we're targeting optsize/minsize.

Amara Emerson 0f0fd383b4 [AArch64][GlobalISel] Introduce a new post-isel optimization pass.
There are two optimizations here:

1. Consider the following code:
 FCMPSrr %0, %1, implicit-def $nzcv
 %sel1:gpr32 = CSELWr %_, %_, 12, implicit $nzcv
 %sub:gpr32 = SUBSWrr %_, %_, implicit-def $nzcv
 FCMPSrr %0, %1, implicit-def $nzcv
 %sel2:gpr32 = CSELWr %_, %_, 12, implicit $nzcv
This kind of code where we have 2 FCMPs each feeding a CSEL can happen
when we have a single IR fcmp being used by two selects. During selection,
to ensure that there can be no clobbering of nzcv between the fcmp and the
csel, we have to generate an fcmp immediately before each csel is
selected.

However, often we can essentially CSE these together later in MachineCSE.
This doesn't work though if there are unrelated flag-setting instructions
in between the two FCMPs. In this case, the SUBS defines NZCV
but it doesn't have any users, being overwritten by the second FCMP.

Our solution here is to try to convert flag setting operations between
a interval of identical FCMPs, so that CSE will be able to eliminate one.

2. SelectionDAG imported patterns for arithmetic ops currently select the
flag-setting ops for CSE reasons, and add the implicit-def $nzcv operand
to those instructions. However if those impdef operands are not marked as
dead, the peephole optimizations are not able to optimize them into non-flag
setting variants. The optimization here is to find these dead imp-defs and
mark them as such.

This pass is only enabled when optimizations are enabled.

Jessica Paquette 49a4f3f7d8 [AArch64][GlobalISel] Add a post-legalizer combiner with a very simple combine.
(This patch is by Jessica, I'm just committing it on her behalf because I need
a post-legalizer combiner for something else).

This supersedes D77250, which did equivalent work in the selector. This can be
done pre-legalization or post-legalization. Post-legalization is more likely to
hit, since G_IMPLICIT_DEFs tend to appear during legalization. There's no reason
to not do it pre-legalization though-- if it can be caught earlier, great.

(I also think that it might be worth reimplementing D78769 using a
target-specific post-legalization combine too after thinking about it for a
while.)

Daniel Sanders f71350f05a Add -debugify-and-strip-all to add debug info before a pass and remove it after
Summary:
This allows us to test each backend pass under the presence
of debug info using pre-existing tests. The tests should not
fail as a result of this so long as it's true that debug info
does not affect CodeGen.

In practice, a few tests are sensitive to this:
* Tests that check the pass structure (e.g. O0-pipeline.ll)
* Tests that check --debug output. Specifically instruction
  dumps containing MMO's (e.g. prelegalizercombiner-extends.ll)
* Tests that contain debugify metadata as mir-strip-debug will
  remove it (e.g. fastisel-debugvalue-undef.ll)
* Tests with partial debug info (e.g.
patchable-function-entry-empty.mir had debug info but no
  !llvm.dbg.cu)
* Tests that check optimization remarks overly strictly (e.g.
  prologue-epilogue-remarks.mir)
* Tests that would inject the pass in an unsafe region (e.g.
seqpairspill.mir would inject between register alloc and
  virt reg rewriter)
In all cases, the checks can either be updated or
--debugify-and-strip-all-safe=0 can be used to avoid being
affected by something like llvm-lit -Dllc='llc --debugify-and-strip-all-safe'

I tested this without the lost debug locations verifier to
confirm that AArch64 behaviour is unaffected (with the fixes
in this patch) and with it to confirm it finds the problems
without the additional RUN lines we had before.

Tim Northover 36147adc0b GlobalISel: add combiner to form indexed loads.
Loosely based on DAGCombiner version, but this part is slightly simpler in
GlobalIsel because all address calculation is performed by G_GEP. That makes
the inc/dec distinction moot so there's just pre/post to think about.

No targets can handle it yet so testing is via a special flag that overrides
target hooks.

Amara Emerson a1cf4d9795 [AArch64][GlobalISel] Enable the localizer for optimized builds.
Despite the fact that the localizer's original motivation was to fix horrendous
constant spilling at -O0, shortening live ranges still has net benefits even
with optimizations enabled.

On an -Os build of CTMark, doing this improves code size by 0.5% geomean.

There are a few regressions, bullet increasing in size by 0.5%. One example from
bullet where code size increased slightly was due to GlobalISel actually now
generating the same code as SelectionDAG. So we actually have an opportunity
in future to implement better heuristics for localization and therefore be
*better* than SDAG in some cases. In relation to other optimizations though that
one is relatively minor.

Aditya Nandakumar c8ac029d0a [GISel]: Add GISelKnownBits analysis
https://reviews.llvm.org/D65698

This adds a KnownBits analysis pass for GISel. This was done as a
pass (compared to static functions) so that we can add other features
such as caching queries(within a pass and across passes) in the future.
This patch only adds the basic pass boiler plate, and implements a lazy
non caching knownbits implementation (ported from SelectionDAG). I've
also hooked up the AArch64PreLegalizerCombiner pass to use this - there
should be no compile time regression as the analysis is lazy.

This allows targets to make more decisions about reserved registers

legalization.

The previous commit failed portions of the test-suite on GreenDragon due to
duplicate COPY instructions and iterator invalidation. Both issues have now
been fixed. To assist with this, a helper (cloneVirtualRegister) has been added
to MachineRegisterInfo that can be used to get another register that has the same
type and class/bank as an existing one.

Ahmed Bougacha 120ae22d70 [GlobalISel] Add a way for targets to enable GISel.
Until now, we've had to use -global-isel to enable GISel. But using
that on other targets that don't support it will result in an abort, as we
can't build a full pipeline.
Additionally, we want to experiment with enabling GISel by default for
some targets: we can't just enable GISel by default, even among those
target that do have some support, because the level of support varies.

This first step adds an override for the target to explicitly define its
level of support. For AArch64, do that using
a new command-line option (I know..):
  -aarch64-enable-global-isel-at-O=<N>
Where N is the opt-level below which GISel should be used.

Default that to -1, so that we still don't enable GISel anywhere.
We're not there yet!

While there, remove a couple LLVM_UNLIKELYs. Building the pipeline is
such a cold path that in practice that shouldn't matter at all.
