John McCall e29c5cd239 Improve the diagnostic when a new declaration conflicts with a using shadow
declaration. Rename note_using_decl to note_using, which is possibly less confusing.
Add a test for non-class-scope using decl collisions and be sure to note the case
we can't diagnose yet.

John McCall 84d8767c15 Implement redeclaration checking and hiding semantics for using declarations. There
are a couple of O(n^2) operations in this, some analogous to the usual O(n^2)
redeclaration problem and some not. In particular, retroactively removing
shadow declarations when they're hidden by later decls is pretty unfortunate.
I'm not yet convinced it's worse than the alternative, though.

Douglas Gregor 3e1e527826 Reimplement reference initialization (C++ [dcl.init.ref]) using the
new notion of an "initialization sequence", which encapsulates the
computation of the initialization sequence along with diagnostic
information and the capability to turn the computed sequence into an
expression. At present, I've only switched one CheckReferenceInit
callers over to this new mechanism; more will follow.

Aside from (hopefully) being much more true to the standard, the
diagnostics provided by this reference-initialization code are a bit
better than before. Some examples:

John McCall 5677499fbf First pass at implementing C++ enum semantics: calculate (and store) an
"integer promotion" type associated with an enum decl, and use this type to
determine which type to promote to. This type obeys C++ [conv.prom]p2 and
is therefore generally signed unless the range of the enumerators forces
it to be unsigned.

Douglas Gregor c99f155365 Unify the end-of-class code paths used by the parser and template
instantiation, to ensure that we mark class template specilizations as
abstract when we need to and perform checking of abstract classes.

Also, move the checking that determines whether we are creating a
variable of abstract class type *after* we check whether the type is
complete. Otherwise, we won't see when we have an abstract class
template specialization that is implicitly instantiated by this
declaration. This is the "something else" that Sebastian had noted
earlier.

John McCall 27b18f8144 Carry lookup configuration throughout lookup on the LookupResult. Give
LookupResult RAII powers to diagnose ambiguity in the results. Other diagnostics
(e.g. access control and deprecation) will be moved to automatically trigger
during lookup as part of this same mechanism.

This abstraction makes it much easier to encapsulate aliasing declarations
(e.g. using declarations) inside the lookup system: eventually, lookup will
just produce the aliases in the LookupResult, and the standard access methods
will naturally strip the aliases off.

Douglas Gregor 1b8fe5b716 First part of changes to eliminate problems with cv-qualifiers and
sugared types. The basic problem is that our qualifier accessors
(getQualifiers, getCVRQualifiers, isConstQualified, etc.) only look at
the current QualType and not at any qualifiers that come from sugared
types, meaning that we won't see these qualifiers through, e.g.,
typedefs:

  typedef const int CInt;
  typedef CInt Self;

Self.isConstQualified() currently returns false!

Various bugs (e.g., PR5383) have cropped up all over the front end due
to such problems. I'm addressing this problem by splitting each
qualifier accessor into two versions:

  - the "local" version only returns qualifiers on this particular
    QualType instance
  - the "normal" version that will eventually combine qualifiers from this
    QualType instance with the qualifiers on the canonical type to
    produce the full set of qualifiers.

This commit adds the local versions and switches a few callers from
the "normal" version (e.g., isConstQualified) over to the "local"
version (e.g., isLocalConstQualified) when that is the right thing to
do, e.g., because we're printing or serializing the qualifiers. Also,
switch a bunch of

  Context.getCanonicalType(T1).getUnqualifiedType() == Context.getCanonicalType(T2).getQualifiedType()

expressions over to

  Context.hasSameUnqualifiedType(T1, T2)

Douglas Gregor b53edfb8dc Improve parsing of template arguments to lay the foundation for
handling template template parameters properly. This refactoring:

  - Parses template template arguments as id-expressions, representing
    the result of the parse as a template name (Action::TemplateTy)
    rather than as an expression (lame!).

  - Represents all parsed template arguments via a new parser-specific
    type, ParsedTemplateArgument, which stores the kind of template
    argument (type, non-type, template) along with all of the source
    information about the template argument. This replaces an ad hoc
    set of 3 vectors (one for a void*, which was either a type or an
    expression; one for a bit telling whether the first was a type or
    an expression; and one for a single source location pointing at
    the template argument).

  - Moves TemplateIdAnnotation into the new Parse/Template.h. It never
    belonged in the Basic library anyway.

John McCall 28a6aeab7e Change our basic strategy for avoiding deprecation warnings when the decl use
appears in a deprecated context. In the new strategy, we emit the warnings
as usual unless we're currently parsing a declaration, where "declaration" is
restricted to mean a decl group or a few special cases in Objective C. If
we *are* parsing a declaration, we queue up the deprecation warnings until
the declaration has been completely parsed, and then emit them only if the
decl is not deprecated.
We also standardize the bookkeeping for deprecation so as to avoid special cases.

Chris Lattner ecf328e6dd When parsing a top level struct declaration, make sure to

diags to be emitted. This is also needed by two upcoming enhancements.

Douglas Gregor 15e5602e59 Improve diagnostics when the parser encounters a declarator with an
unknown type name, e.g.,

  foo::bar x;

when "bar" does not refer to a type in "foo".

With this change, the parser now calls into the action to perform
diagnostics and can try to recover by substituting in an appropriate
type. For example, this allows us to easily diagnose some missing
"typename" specifiers, which we now do:

  test/SemaCXX/unknown-type-name.cpp:29:1: error: missing 'typename'
        prior to dependent type name 'A<T>::type'
  A<T>::type A<T>::f() { return type(); }
  ^~~~~~~~~~
  typename

"namespace N", "the global namespace", "'class Foo'".

Douglas Gregor cf91555cb8 When explicitly specializing a member that is a template, mark the
template as a specialization. For example, this occurs with:

  template<typename T>
  struct X {
    template<typename U> struct Inner { /* ... */ };
  };

  template<> template<typename T>
  struct X<int>::Inner {
    T member;
  };

We need to treat templates that are member specializations as special
in two contexts:

  - When looking for a definition of a member template, we look
    through the instantiation chain until we hit the primary template
    *or a member specialization*. This allows us to distinguish
    between the primary "Inner" definition and the X<int>::Inner
    definition, above.
  - When computing all of the levels of template arguments needed to
    instantiate a member template, don't add template arguments
    from contexts outside of the instantiation of a member
    specialization, since the user has already manually substituted
    those arguments.

Fix up the existing test for p18, which was actually wrong (but we
didn't diagnose it because of our poor handling of member
specializations of templates), and add a new test for member
specializations of templates.

Douglas Gregor 3a88c1d784 Improve the internal representation and semantic analysis of friend
function templates.

This commit ensures that friend function templates are constructed as
FunctionTemplateDecls rather than partial FunctionDecls (as they
previously were). It then implements template instantiation for friend
function templates, injecting the friend function template only when
no previous declaration exists at the time of instantiation.

Oh, and make sure that explicit specialization declarations are not
friends.
