Denis Zobnin 2290dacaf8 Recommit "[MS] Improved implementation of stack pragmas (vtordisp, *_seg)"
Slightly updated version, double-checked build and tests.
Improve implementation of MS pragmas that use stack + compatibility fixes.
This patch:
  1. Changes implementation of #pragma vtordisp to use PragmaStack class
     that other stack pragmas use;
  2. Fixes "#pragma vtordisp()" behavior - it shouldn't affect the stack;
  3. Supports "save-restore" of pragma stacks on enter / exit a C++ method
     body, as MSVC does.

TODO:
  1. Change implementation of #pragma pack to use the same approach;
  2. Introduce diagnostics on popping named stack slots, as MSVC does.

Akira Hatanaka 10aced824a [Parser] Clear the TemplateParamScope bit of the current scope's flag
if we are parsing a template specialization.

This commit makes changes to clear the TemplateParamScope bit and set
the TemplateParamParent field of the current scope to null if a template
specialization is being parsed.

Before this commit, Sema::ActOnStartOfLambdaDefinition would check
whether the parent template scope had any decls to determine whether
or not a template specialization was being parsed. This wasn't correct
since it couldn't distinguish between a real template specialization and
a template defintion with an unnamed template parameter (only template
parameters with names are added to the scope's decl list). To fix the
bug, this commit changes the code to check the pointer to the parent
template scope rather than the decl list.

Nemanja Ivanovic 50f29e06a1 Enable support for __float128 in Clang
This patch corresponds to review:
http://reviews.llvm.org/D15120

It adds support for the __float128 keyword, literals and a target feature to
enable it. This support is disabled by default on all targets and any target
that has support for this type is free to add it.

Based on feedback that I've received from target maintainers, this appears to
be the right thing for most targets. I have not heard from the maintainers of
X86 which I believe supports this type. I will subsequently investigate the
impact of enabling this on X86.

Alexey Bader 954ba21f85 [OpenCL] Complete image types support.
I. Current implementation of images is not conformant to spec in the following points:
  1. It makes no distinction with respect to access qualifiers and therefore allows to use images with different access type interchangeably. The following code would compile just fine:

        void write_image(write_only image2d_t img);
        kernel void foo(read_only image2d_t img) { write_image(img); } // Accepted code

     which is disallowed according to s6.13.14.

  2. It discards access qualifier on generated code, which leads to generated code for the above example:

        call void @write_image(%opencl.image2d_t* %img);

     In OpenCL2.0 however we can have different calls into write_image with read_only and wite_only images.
     Also generally following compiler steps have no easy way to take different path depending on the image access: linking to the right implementation of image types, performing IR opts and backend codegen differently.

  3. Image types are language keywords and can't be redeclared s6.1.9, which can happen currently as they are just typedef names.
  4. Default access qualifier read_only is to be added if not provided explicitly.

II. This patch corrects the above points as follows:
  1. All images are encapsulated into a separate .def file that is inserted in different points where image handling is required. This avoid a lot of code repetition as all images are handled the same way in the code with no distinction of their exact type.
  2. The Cartesian product of image types and image access qualifiers is added to the builtin types. This simplifies a lot handling of access type mismatch as no operations are allowed by default on distinct Builtin types. Also spec intended access qualifier as special type qualifier that are combined with an image type to form a distinct type (see statement above - images can't be created w/o access qualifiers).
  3. Improves testing of images in Clang.

Alexey Bataev 587e1de4ea [OPENMP 4.0] Initial support for '#pragma omp declare simd' directive.
Initial parsing/sema/serialization/deserialization support for '#pragma
omp declare simd' directive.
The 'declare simd' construct can be applied to a function to enable the
creation of one or more versions that can process multiple arguments
using SIMD instructions from a single invocation from a SIMD loop.
If the function has any declarations, then the declare simd construct
for any declaration that has one must be equivalent to the one specified
 for the definition. Otherwise, the result is unspecified.
This pragma can be applied many times to the same declaration.
Internally this pragma is represented as an attribute. But we need special processing for this pragma because it must be used before function declaration, this directive is applied to.

Faisal Vali a734ab9808 [Cxx1z-constexpr-lambda-P0170R1] Support parsing of constexpr specifier (and its inference) on lambda expressions
Support the constexpr specifier on lambda expressions - and support its inference from the lambda call operator's body.

i.e.
  auto L = [] () constexpr { return 5; };
  static_assert(L() == 5); // OK
  auto Implicit = [] (auto a) { return a; };
  static_assert(Implicit(5) == 5);

We do not support evaluation of lambda's within constant expressions just yet.

Implementation Strategy:
  - teach ParseLambdaExpressionAfterIntroducer to expect a constexpr specifier and mark the invented function call operator's declarator's decl-specifier with it; Have it emit fixits for multiple decl-specifiers (mutable or constexpr) in this location.
  - for cases where constexpr is not explicitly specified, have buildLambdaExpr check whether the invented function call operator satisfies the requirements of a constexpr function, by calling CheckConstexprFunctionDecl/Body.

Much obliged to Richard Smith for his patience and his care, in ensuring the code is clang-worthy.

Faisal Vali dc6b596ebb [Cxx1z] Implement Lambda Capture of *this by Value as [=,*this] (P0018R3)
Implement lambda capture of *this by copy.
For e.g.:
struct A {

  int d = 10;
  auto foo() { return [*this] (auto a) mutable { d+=a; return d; }; }

};

auto L = A{}.foo(); // A{}'s lifetime is gone.

// Below is still ok, because *this was captured by value.
assert(L(10) == 20);
assert(L(100) == 120);

If the capture was implicit, or [this] (i.e. *this was captured by reference), this code would be otherwise undefined.

Implementation Strategy:
  - amend the parser to accept *this in the lambda introducer
  - add a new king of capture LCK_StarThis
  - teach Sema::CheckCXXThisCapture to handle by copy captures of the
    enclosing object (i.e. *this)
  - when CheckCXXThisCapture does capture by copy, the corresponding
    initializer expression for the closure's data member
    direct-initializes it thus making a copy of '*this'.
  - in codegen, when assigning to CXXThisValue, if *this was captured by
    copy, make sure it points to the corresponding field member, and
    not, unlike when captured by reference, what the field member points
    to.
  - mark feature as implemented in svn

Much gratitude to Richard Smith for his carefully illuminating reviews!

Marina Yatsina 5f77679356 [ms-inline-asm][AVX512] Add ability to use k registers in MS inline asm + fix bag with curly braces
Until now curly braces could only be used in MS inline assembly to mark block start/end.
All curly braces were removed completely at a very early stage.
This approach caused bugs like:
"m{o}v eax, ebx" turned into "mov eax, ebx" without any error.

In addition, AVX-512 added special operands (e.g., k registers), which are also surrounded by curly braces that mark them as such.
Now, we need to keep the curly braces and identify at a later stage if they are marking block start/end (if so, ignore them), or surrounding special AVX-512 operands (if so, parse them as such).

This patch fixes the bug described above and enables the use of AVX-512 special operands.

Alexey Bataev 94a4f0cb5f [OPENMP 4.0] Initial support for 'omp declare reduction' construct.
Add parsing, sema analysis and serialization/deserialization for 'declare reduction' construct.
User-defined reductions are defined as

#pragma omp declare reduction( reduction-identifier : typename-list : combiner ) [initializer ( initializer-expr )]
These custom reductions may be used in 'reduction' clauses of OpenMP constructs. The combiner specifies how partial results can be combined into a single value. The
combiner can use the special variable identifiers omp_in and omp_out that are of the type of the variables being reduced with this reduction-identifier. Each of them will
denote one of the values to be combined before executing the combiner. It is assumed that the special omp_out identifier will refer to the storage that holds the resulting
combined value after executing the combiner.
As the initializer-expr value of a user-defined reduction is not known a priori the initializer-clause can be used to specify one. Then the contents of the initializer-clause
will be used as the initializer for private copies of reduction list items where the omp_priv identifier will refer to the storage to be initialized. The special identifier
omp_orig can also appear in the initializer-clause and it will refer to the storage of the original variable to be reduced.

Nico Weber 779355f96b Serialize `pragma ms_struct` state.
pragma ms_struct has an effect on struct decls, and the effect is serialized
correctly already. But the "is ms_struct currently on" state wasn't before
this change.

This uses the same approach as `pragma clang optimize`: When writing a module,
the state isn't serialized, only when writing a pch file.

Nico Weber 6622029d5e Serialize `#pragma comment`.
`#pragma comment` was handled by Sema calling a function on ASTConsumer, and
CodeGen then implementing this function and writing things to its output.

Instead, introduce a PragmaCommentDecl AST node and hang one off the
TranslationUnitDecl for every `#pragma comment` line, and then use the regular
serialization machinery. (Since PragmaCommentDecl has codegen relevance, it's
eagerly deserialized.)

An optional nopartial can be placed after the platform name.
int bar() __attribute__((availability(macosx,nopartial,introduced=10.12))

When deploying back to a platform version prior to when the declaration was
introduced, with 'nopartial', Clang emits an error specifying that the function
is not introduced yet; without 'nopartial', the behavior stays the same: the
declaration is `weakly linked`.

A member is added to the end of AttributeList to save the location of the

The diagnostics for 'nopartial' not-yet-introduced is handled in the same way as
we handle unavailable cases.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes 428a5aa9a5 [Parser] Update CachedTokens while parsing ObjectiveC template argument list
Consider the following ObjC++ snippet:

--
@protocol PA;
@protocol PB;

@class NSArray<ObjectType>;
typedef int some_t;

id<PA> FA(NSArray<id<PB>> *h, some_t group);
--

This would hit an assertion in the parser after generating an annotation token
while trying to update the token cache:

Assertion failed: (CachedTokens[CachedLexPos-1].getLastLoc() == Tok.getAnnotationEndLoc() && "The annotation should be until the most recent cached token")
...
7 clang::Preprocessor::AnnotatePreviousCachedTokens(clang::Token const&) + 494
8 clang::Parser::TryAnnotateTypeOrScopeTokenAfterScopeSpec(bool, bool, clang::CXXScopeSpec&, bool) + 1163
9 clang::Parser::TryAnnotateTypeOrScopeToken(bool, bool) + 361
10 clang::Parser::isCXXDeclarationSpecifier(clang::Parser::TPResult, bool*) + 598
...

The cached preprocessor token in this case is:

greatergreater '>>' Loc=<testcase.mm:7:24>

while the annotation ("NSArray<id<PB>>") ends at "testcase.mm:7:25", hence the
assertion.

Properly update the CachedTokens during template parsing to contain
two greater tokens instead of a greatergreater.

Nico Weber 7b837f578a Include RecordDecls from anonymous unions in the AST.
For

  void f() {
    union { int i; };
  }

clang used to omit the RecordDecl from the anonymous union from the AST.
That's because the code creating it only called PushOnScopeChains(), which adds
it to the current DeclContext, which here is the function's DeclContext. But
RecursiveASTVisitor doesn't descent into all decls in a FunctionDecl.

Instead, for DeclContexts that contain statements, return the RecordDecl so
that it can be included in the DeclStmt containing the VarDecl for the union.

Interesting bits from the AST before this change:

|-FunctionDecl
| `-CompoundStmt
|   |-DeclStmt
|   | `-VarDecl 0x589cd60 <col:3> col:3 implicit used 'union (anonymous at test.cc:3:3)' callinit

After this change:

-FunctionDecl
| `-CompoundStmt
|   |-DeclStmt
|   | |-CXXRecordDecl 0x4612e48 <col:3, col:18> col:3 union definition
|   | | |-FieldDecl 0x4612f70 <col:11, col:15> col:15 referenced i 'int'
|   | `-VarDecl 0x4613010 <col:3> col:3 implicit used 'union (anonymous at test.cc:3:3)' callinit

This is now closer to how anonymous struct and unions are represented as
members of structs. It also enabled deleting some one-off code in the
template instantiation code.

Finally, it fixes a crash with ASTMatchers, see the included test case
(this fixes http://crbug.com/580749).

Faisal Vali 48401eb18a Change the expression evaluation context from Unevaluated to ConstantEvaluated while substituting into non-type template argument defaults.
Also address a typo from a prior patch that performed a similar fix during Parsing of default non-type template arguments. I left the RAII ExpressionEvaluationContext variable Name as Unevaluated though we had switched the context to ConstantEvaluated.

There should be no functionality change here - since when expression evaluation context is popped off, for the most part these two contexts currently behave similarly in regards to lambda diagnostics and odr-use tracking.

Like its parsing counterpart, this patch presages the advent of constexpr lambda patches...

Faisal Vali 0374bf0d07 [NFC] Change the evaluation context of a non-type default template argument from Unevaluated to ConstantEvaluated.
This patch emits a more appropriate (but still noisy) diagnostic stream when a lambda-expression is encountered within a non-type default argument.

For e.g. template<int N = ([] { return 5; }())> int f();

As opposed to complaining that a lambda expression is not allowed in an unevaluated operand, the patch complains about the lambda being forbidden in a constant expression context (which will be allowed in C++17 now that they have been accepted by EWG, unless of course CWG or national bodies (that have so far shown no signs of concern) rise in protest)

As I start submitting patches for constexpr lambdas (http://wg21.link/P0170R0) under C++1z (OK'd by Richard Smith at Kona), this will be one less change to make.

Richard Smith 752ada870d [modules] When a #include is mapped to a module import and appears somewhere
other than the top level, we issue an error. This breaks a fair amount of C++
code wrapping C libraries, where the C library is #included within a namespace
/ extern "C" combination, because the C library (probably) includes C++
standard library headers which may be within modules.

Without modules, this setup is harmless if (and *only* if) the corresponding
standard library module was already included outside the namespace, so
downgrade the error to a default-error extension in that case, so that it can
be selectively disabled for such misbehaving libraries.

Richard Smith e301ba2b48 Add support for GCC's '__auto_type' extension, per the GCC manual:
https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Typeof.html

Differences from the GCC extension:
 * __auto_type is also permitted in C++ (but only in places where
   it could appear in C), allowing its use in headers that might
   be shared across C and C++, or used from C++98
 * __auto_type can be combined with a declarator, as with C++ auto
   (for instance, "__auto_type *p")
 * multiple variables can be declared in a single __auto_type
   declaration, with the C++ semantics (the deduced type must be
   the same in each case)

This patch also adds a missing restriction on applying typeof to
a bit-field, which GCC has historically rejected in C (due to
lack of clarity as to whether the operand should be promoted).
The same restriction also applies to __auto_type in C (in both
GCC and Clang).

This also fixes PR25449.

Richard Smith 42b1057244 N3922: direct-list-initialization of an auto-typed variable no longer deduces a
std::initializer_list<T> type. Instead, the list must contain a single element
and the type is deduced from that.

In Clang 3.7, we warned by default on all the cases that would change meaning
due to this change. In Clang 3.8, we will support only the new rules -- per
the request in N3922, this change is applied as a Defect Report against earlier
versions of the C++ standard.

This change is not entirely trivial, because for lambda init-captures we
previously did not track the difference between direct-list-initialization and
copy-list-initialization. The difference was not previously observable, because
the two forms of initialization always did the same thing (the elements of the
initializer list were always copy-initialized regardless of the initialization
style used for the init-capture).

Summary:
This is the first patch in the series to migrate Triple's (which are ambiguous)
to TargetTuple's (which aren't).

For the moment, TargetTuple simply passes all requests to the Triple object it
holds. Once it has replaced Triple, it will start to implement the interface in
a more suitable way.

This change makes some changes to the public C++ API. In particular,
InitMCSubtargetInfo(), createMCRelocationInfo(), and createMCSymbolizer()
now take TargetTuples instead of Triples. The other public C++ API's have
been left as-is for the moment to reduce patch size.

This commit also contains a trivial patch to clang to account for the C++ API
change. Thanks go to Pavel Labath for fixing LLDB for me.

OpenMP 4.1 added special 'directive-name-modifier' to the 'if' clause.
Format of 'if' clause is as follows:
```
if([ directive-name-modifier :] scalar-logical-expression)
```

The restriction rules are also changed.
1. If any 'if' clause on the directive includes a 'directive-name-modifier' then all 'if' clauses on the directive must include a 'directive-name-modifier'.
2. At most one 'if' clause without a 'directive-name-modifier' can appear on the directive.
3. At most one 'if' clause with some particular 'directive-name-modifier' can appear on the directive.

'directive-name-modifier' is important for combined directives and allows to separate conditions in 'if' clause for simple sub-directives in combined directive. This 'directive-name-modifier' identifies the sub-directive to which this 'if' clause must be applied.

Mark Heffernan 397a98d86d Add new llvm.loop.unroll.enable metadata for use with "#pragma unroll".
This change adds the new unroll metadata "llvm.loop.unroll.enable" which directs
the optimizer to unroll a loop fully if the trip count is known at compile time, and
unroll partially if the trip count is not known at compile time. This differs from
"llvm.loop.unroll.full" which explicitly does not unroll a loop if the trip count is not
known at compile time

With this change "#pragma unroll" generates "llvm.loop.unroll.enable" rather than
"llvm.loop.unroll.full" metadata. This changes the semantics of "#pragma unroll" slightly
to mean "unroll aggressively (fully or partially)" rather than "unroll fully or not at all".

The motivating example for this change was some internal code with a loop marked
with "#pragma unroll" which only sometimes had a compile-time trip count depending
on template magic. When the trip count was a compile-time constant, everything works
as expected and the loop is fully unrolled. However, when the trip count was not a
compile-time constant the "#pragma unroll" explicitly disabled unrolling of the loop(!).
Removing "#pragma unroll" caused the loop to be unrolled partially which was desirable
from a performance perspective.

Ulrich Weigand d6665178a8 Fix sanitizer fallout from r243642
The memory-sanitizer build bot reported:

==5574== WARNING: MemorySanitizer: use-of-uninitialized-value
    #0 0x7f03089e15f6 in
clang::Parser::TryAltiVecTokenOutOfLine(clang::DeclSpec&,

/mnt/b/sanitizer-buildbot3/sanitizer-x86_64-linux-fast/build/llvm/tools/clang/lib/Parse/ParseDecl.cpp:6290:11

This is because the "Ident_pixel" variable was uninitialized
in the getLangOpts().ZVector case, but we'd still call into
clang::Parser::TryAltiVecTokenOutOfLine, which uses the variable.

The simplest fix for this without sprinkling !getLangOpts().ZVector
checks all over the code seems to be to just initialize the variable
to nullptr; this will then do the right thing on ZVector.

Checked in to unbreak the build bots.

Ulrich Weigand 3c5038a535 Add support for System z vector language extensions
The z13 vector facility has an associated language extension,
closely modeled on AltiVec/VSX. The main differences are:

- vector long, vector float and vector pixel are not supported

- vector long long and vector double are supported (like VSX)

- comparison operators return a vector rather than a scalar integer

- shift operators behave like the OpenCL shift operators

- vector bool is only supported as argument to certain operators;
  some operators allow mixing a bool with a non-bool vector

This patch adds clang support for the extension. It is closely modelled
on the AltiVec support. Similarly to the -faltivec option, there's a
new -fzvector option to enable the extensions (as well as an -mzvector
alias for compatibility with GCC). There's also a separate LangOpt.

The extension as implemented here is intended to be compatible with
the -mzvector extension recently implemented by GCC.

David Majnemer 51fd8a020b [MS Compat] Allow _Atomic(Type) and 'struct _Atomic' to coexist
MSVC 2013 ships, as part of its STL implementation, a class named
'_Atomic'. This is unfortunate because this keyword is in conflict with
the C11 keyword with the same name. Our solution was to disable this
keyword when targeting MSVC 2013 and reenable it for 2015.

However, this makes it impossible for clang's headers to make use of
_Atomic. This is problematic in the case of libc++ as it makes heavy
use of this keyword.

Let the keywordness of _Atomic float under certain circumstances:
the body of a class named _Atomic, or a class with a base specifier
named _Atomic, will not have the keyword variant of _Atomic for the
duration of the class body. This is sufficient to allow us to correctly
handle _Atomic in the STL while permitting us to use _Atomic as a
keyword everywhere else.

Ulrich Weigand ef5aa29e12 Support alternate attribute spelling __enable_if__
Attribute names usually support an alternate spelling that uses double
underscores before and after the attribute name, like e.g. attribute
((__aligned__)) for attribute ((aligned)). This is necessary to allow
use of attributes in system headers without polluting the name space.

However, for attribute ((enable_if)) that alternate spelling does not
work correctly. This is because of code in Parser::ParseGNUAttributeArgs
(ParseDecl.cpp) that specifically checks for the "enable_if" spelling
without allowing the alternate spelling.

Similar code in ParseDecl.cpp uses the normalizeAttrName helper to allow
both spellings. This patch adds use of that helper for the "enable_if"
check as well, which fixes attribute ((__enable_if__)).

Warn in cases where one has provided redundant protocol qualification
that might be a typo for a specialization, e.g., NSArray<NSObject>,

base type being qualified is parameterized, has the same number of
parameters as their are protocols listed, all of the names can also
refer to types (including Objective-C class types, of course), and at
least one of those types is an Objective-C class (making this a typo
for a missing '*'). The limitations are partly for performance reasons
(we don't want to do redundant name lookup unless we really need to),
and because we want the warning to apply in very limited cases to
limit false positives.

Teach C++'s tentative parsing to handle specializations of Objective-C
class types (e.g., NSArray<NSString *>) as well as Objective-C
protocol qualifiers (id<NSCopying>) by extending type-annotation
tokens to handle this case. As part of this, remove Objective-C
protocol qualifiers from the declaration specifiers, which never
really made sense: instead, provide Sema entry points to make them
part of the type annotation token. Among other things, this properly
diagnoses bogus types such as "<NSCopying> id" which should have been
written as "id <NSCopying>".

Douglas Gregor e83b95641f Substitute type arguments into uses of Objective-C interface members.
When messaging a method that was defined in an Objective-C class (or
category or extension thereof) that has type parameters, substitute
the type arguments for those type parameters. Similarly, substitute
into property accesses, instance variables, and other references.

This includes general infrastructure for substituting the type
arguments associated with an ObjCObject(Pointer)Type into a type
referenced within a particular context, handling all of the
substitutions required to deal with (e.g.) inheritance involving
parameterized classes. In cases where no type arguments are available
(e.g., because we're messaging via some unspecialized type, id, etc.),
we substitute in the type bounds for the type parameters instead.

Example:

  @interface NSSet<T : id<NSCopying>> : NSObject <NSCopying>
  - (T)firstObject;
  @end

  void f(NSSet<NSString *> *stringSet, NSSet *anySet) {
    [stringSet firstObject]; // produces NSString*
    [anySet firstObject]; // produces id<NSCopying> (the bound)
  }

When substituting for the type parameters given an unspecialized
context (i.e., no specific type arguments were given), substituting
the type bounds unconditionally produces type signatures that are too
strong compared to the pre-generics signatures. Instead, use the
following rule:

  - In covariant positions, such as method return types, replace type
    parameters with “id” or “Class” (the latter only when the type
    parameter bound is “Class” or qualified class, e.g,
    “Class<NSCopying>”)
  - In other positions (e.g., parameter types), replace type
    parameters with their type bounds.
  - When a specialized Objective-C object or object pointer type
    contains a type parameter in its type arguments (e.g.,
    NSArray<T>*, but not NSArray<NSString *> *), replace the entire
    object/object pointer type with its unspecialized version (e.g.,
    NSArray *).

2015-07-07 03:57:53 +00:00
Douglas Gregor e9d95f1ecc Handle Objective-C type arguments.
Objective-C type arguments can be provided in angle brackets following
an Objective-C interface type. Syntactically, this is the same
position as one would provide protocol qualifiers (e.g.,
id<NSCopying>), so parse both together and let Sema sort out the
ambiguous cases. This applies both when parsing types and when parsing
the superclass of an Objective-C class, which can now be a specialized
type (e.g., NSMutableArray<T> inherits from NSArray<T>).

Check Objective-C type arguments against the type parameters of the
corresponding class. Verify the length of the type argument list and
that each type argument satisfies the corresponding bound.

Specializations of parameterized Objective-C classes are represented
in the type system as distinct types. Both specialized types (e.g.,
NSArray<NSString *> *) and unspecialized types (NSArray *) are
represented, separately.

Douglas Gregor 261a89b0f7 Introduce type nullability specifiers for C/C++.
Introduces the type specifiers __nonnull, __nullable, and
__null_unspecified that describe the nullability of the pointer type
to which the specifier appertains. Nullability type specifiers improve
on the existing nonnull attributes in a few ways:
  - They apply to types, so one can represent a pointer to a non-null
    pointer, use them in function pointer types, etc.
  - As type specifiers, they are syntactically more lightweight than
    __attribute__s or [[attribute]]s.
  - They can express both the notion of 'should never be null' and
  also 'it makes sense for this to be null', and therefore can more
  easily catch errors of omission where one forgot to annotate the
  nullability of a particular pointer (this will come in a subsequent
  patch).

Nullability type specifiers are maintained as type sugar, and
therefore have no effect on mangling, encoding, overloading,
etc. Nonetheless, they will be used for warnings about, e.g., passing
'null' to a method that does not accept it.

This is the C/C++ part of rdar://problem/18868820.

Daniel Sanders 8d8b13dc19 Recommit r239721: Replace string GNU Triples with llvm::Triple in InitMCObjectFileInfo. NFC.
Summary:
This affects other tools so the previous C++ API has been retained as a
deprecated function for the moment. Clang has been updated with a trivial
patch (not covered by the pre-commit review) to avoid breaking -Werror builds.
Other in-tree tools will be fixed with similar patches.

This continues the patch series to eliminate StringRef forms of GNU triples
from the internals of LLVM that began in r239036.

The first time this was committed it accidentally fixed an inconsistency in
triples in llvm-mc and this caused a failure. This inconsistency was fixed in
r239808.

Nico Weber 28e0f243cf Don't leak TemplateIds when a plugin parses late-parsed templates at TU end.
In -fdelayed-template-parsing mode, templates that aren't used are not parsed
at all. For some diagnostic plugins, this is a problem since they want to
analyse the contents of the template function body. What has been suggested
on cfe-dev [1] is to explicitly parse interesting templates in
HandleTranslationUnit(); IWYU does this for example [2].

This is workable, but since the delayed parsing doesn't run below a call to
ParseTopLevelDecl(), no DestroyTemplateIdAnnotationsRAIIObj object is on the
stack to clean up TemplateIds that are created during parsing. To fix this,
let ~Parser() clean them up in delayed template parsing mode instead of
leaking (or asserting in +Assert builds).

(r219810, relanded in r220400, fixed the same problem in incremental processing
mode; the review thread of r219810 has a good discussion of the problem.)

To test this, give the PrintFunctionNames plugin a flag to force parsing
of a template and add a test that uses it in -fdelayed-template-parsing mode.
Without the Parser.cpp change, that test asserts.

Richard Smith 4241314164 [modules] Add local submodule visibility support for declarations.
With this change, enabling -fmodules-local-submodule-visibility results in name
visibility rules being applied to submodules of the current module in addition
to imported modules (that is, names no longer "leak" between submodules of the
same top-level module). This also makes it much safer to textually include a
non-modular library into a module: each submodule that textually includes that
library will get its own "copy" of that library, and so the library becomes
visible no matter which including submodule you import.
