Leonard Chan 2044ac89aa [Fixed Point Arithmetic] Fixed Point Addition
This patch covers addition between fixed point types and other fixed point
types or integers, using the conversion rules described in 4.1.4 of N1169.

Usual arithmetic rules do not apply to binary operations when one of the
operands is a fixed point type, and the result of the operation must be
calculated with the full precision of the operands, so we should not perform
any casting to a common type.

This patch does not include constant expression evaluation for addition of
fixed point types. That will be addressed in another patch since I think this
one is already big enough.

Anastasia Stulova d1986d1b5a [OpenCL] Set generic addr space of 'this' in special class members.
Set address spaces of 'this' param correctly for implicit special
class members.

This also changes initialization conversion sequence to separate
address space conversion from other qualifiers in case of binding
reference to a temporary. In this case address space conversion  
should happen after the binding (unlike for other quals). This is
needed to materialize it correctly in the alloca address space.

Bruno Ricci 4939165d7c [AST] Move back BasePathSize to the bit-fields of CastExpr
The number of trailing CXXBaseSpecifiers in CastExpr was moved from
CastExprBitfields to a trailing object in r338489 (D50050). At this time these
bit-fields classes were only 32 bits wide. However later r345459 widened these
bit-field classes to 64 bits.

The reason for this change was that on 64 bit archs alignment requirements
caused 4 bytes of padding after the Stmt sub-object in nearly all expression
classes. Reusing this padding yielded an >10% reduction in the size used by all
statement/expressions when parsing all of Boost (on a 64 bit arch). This
increased the size of statement/expressions for 32 bits archs, but this can be
mitigated by moving more data to the bit-fields of Stmt (and moreover most
people now care about 64 bits archs as a host).

Therefore move back the number of CXXBaseSpecifiers in CastExpr to the
bit-fields of Stmt. This in effect mostly revert r338489 while keeping the
added test.

Use the newly available space in the bit-fields of Stmt to pack
OverloadExpr, UnresolvedLookupExpr and UnresolvedMemberExpr.

Additionally store the results in the overload set in a trailing array.
This saves 1 pointer + 8 bytes per UnresolvedLookupExpr and
UnresolvedMemberExpr.

This way, when the generic ASTTraverser is extracted from ASTDumper,
there can't be any problem related to ordering of class members, a

Bruno Ricci 2e6dc538be [AST] Pack CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr
Use the newly available space in the bit-fields of Stmt. Additionally store
FirstQualifierFoundInScope as a trailing object since it is most of the time
null (non-null for 2 of the 35446 CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr when parsing
all of Boost).

It would be possible to move the data for the nested-name-specifier to a
trailing object too to save another 2 pointers, however doing so did actually
regress the time taken to parse all of Boost slightly.

This saves 8 bytes + 1 pointer per CXXDependentScopeMemberExpr in the vast
majority of cases.

Bruno Ricci 9b6dfac5ad [AST] Store some data of CXXNewExpr as trailing objects
Store the optional array size expression, optional initialization expression
and optional placement new arguments in a trailing array. Additionally store
the range for the parenthesized type-id in a trailing object if needed since
in the vast majority of cases the type is not parenthesized (not a single new
expression in the translation unit of SemaDecl.cpp has a parenthesized type-id).

This saves 2 pointers per CXXNewExpr in all cases, and 2 pointers + 8 bytes
per CXXNewExpr in the common case where the type is not parenthesized.

Richard Smith 8ce732b46f DR674, PR38883, PR40238: Qualified friend lookup should look for a
template specialization if there is no matching non-template function.

This exposed a couple of related bugs:
 - we would sometimes substitute into a friend template instead of a
   suitable non-friend declaration; this would now crash because we'd
   decide the specialization of the friend is a redeclaration of itself
 - ADL failed to properly handle the case where an invisible local
   extern declaration redeclares an invisible friend

Both are fixed herein: in particular, we now never make invisible
friends or local extern declarations visible to name lookup unless
they are the only declaration of the entity. (We already mostly did
this for local extern declarations.)

regular << operator. If Qualifiers are empty 'unqualified' will

Aaron Ballman d23e9bc5af Diagnose an unused result from a call through a function pointer whose return type is marked [[nodiscard]].
When a function returns a type and that type was declared [[nodiscard]], we diagnose any unused results from that call as though the function were marked nodiscard. The same behavior should apply to calls through a function pointer.

This addresses PR31526.

Summary:
This moves it up from IgnoreParenImpCasts to IgnoreParens, so that more
helpers ignore it. For most clients, this ensures that these helpers
behave the same with and without C++17 enabled, which is what appears to

Store the arguments of CXXConstructExpr in a trailing array. This is very
similar to the CallExpr case in D55771, with the exception that there is
only one derived class (CXXTemporaryObjectExpr) and that we compute the
offset to the trailing array instead of storing it.

This saves one pointer per CXXConstructExpr and CXXTemporaryObjectExpr.

Bruno Ricci c5885cffc5 [AST] Store the callee and argument expressions of CallExpr in a trailing array.
Since CallExpr::setNumArgs has been removed, it is now possible to store the
callee expression and the argument expressions of CallExpr in a trailing array.
This saves one pointer per CallExpr, CXXOperatorCallExpr, CXXMemberCallExpr,
CUDAKernelCallExpr and UserDefinedLiteral.

Given that CallExpr is used as a base of the above classes we cannot use
llvm::TrailingObjects. Instead we store the offset in bytes from the this pointer
to the start of the trailing objects and manually do the casts + arithmetic.

Some notes:

1.) I did not try to fit the number of arguments in the bit-fields of Stmt.
    This leaves some space for future additions and avoid the discussion about
    whether x bits are sufficient to hold the number of arguments.

2.) It would be perfectly possible to recompute the offset to the trailing
    objects before accessing the trailing objects. However the trailing objects
    are frequently accessed and benchmarks show that it is slightly faster to
    just load the offset from the bit-fields. Additionally, because of 1),
    we have plenty of space in the bit-fields of Stmt.

Bruno Ricci 5fc4db7579 [AST][NFC] Pass the AST context to one of the ctor of DeclRefExpr.
All of the other constructors already take a reference to the AST context.
This avoids calling Decl::getASTContext in most cases. Additionally move
the definition of the constructor from Expr.h to Expr.cpp since it is calling
DeclRefExpr::computeDependence. NFC.

Reid Kleckner 0a6096bab2 [mingw] Don't mangle thiscall like fastcall etc
GCC does not mangle it when it is not explicit in the source.  The
mangler as currently written cannot differentiate between explicit and
implicit calling conventions, so we can't match GCC. Explicit thiscall
conventions are rare, so mangle as if the convention was implicit to be
as ABI compatible as possible.

Also fixes some tests using %itanium_abi_triple in some configurations
as a side effect.

Gabor Marton 54058b5055 [ASTImporter] Add importer specific lookup
Summary:
There are certain cases when normal C/C++ lookup (localUncachedLookup)
does not find AST nodes. E.g.:

Example 1:

  template <class T>
  struct X {
    friend void foo(); // this is never found in the DC of the TU.
  };

Example 2:

  // The fwd decl to Foo is not found in the lookupPtr of the DC of the
  // translation unit decl.
  struct A { struct Foo *p; };

In these cases we create a new node instead of returning with the old one.
To fix it we create a new lookup table which holds every node and we are
not interested in any C++ specific visibility considerations.
Simply, we must know if there is an existing Decl in a given DC.

Gabor Marton 7df342a4d1 [ASTImporter] Fix redecl chain of classes and class templates
Summary:
The crux of the issue that is being fixed is that lookup could not find
previous decls of a friend class. The solution involves making the
friend declarations visible in their decl context (i.e. adding them to
the lookup table).
Also, we simplify `VisitRecordDecl` greatly.

This fix involves two other repairs (without these the unittests fail):
(1) We could not handle the addition of injected class types properly
when a redecl chain was involved, now this is fixed.
(2) DeclContext::removeDecl failed if the lookup table in Vector form
did not contain the to be removed element. This caused troubles in
ASTImporter::ImportDeclContext. This is also fixed.

Reid Kleckner f5f6290899 Mangle calling conventions into function pointer types where GCC does
Summary:
GCC 5.1 began mangling these Windows calling conventions into function
types, since they can be used for overloading. They've always been
mangled in the MS ABI, but they are new to the Itanium mangler. Note
that the calling convention doesn't appear as part of the main
declaration, it only appears on function parameter types and other
types.

Summary:
This patch adds `__builtin_launder`, which is required to implement `std::launder`. Additionally GCC provides `__builtin_launder`, so thing brings Clang in-line with GCC.

I'm not exactly sure what magic `__builtin_launder` requires, but  based on previous discussions this patch applies a `@llvm.invariant.group.barrier`. As noted in previous discussions, this may not be enough to correctly handle vtables.

Richard Trieu 0f25c747a3 Fix up diagnostics.
Move some diagnostics around between Diagnostic*Kinds.td files.  Diagnostics
used in multiple places were moved to DiagnosticCommonKinds.td.  Diagnostics
listed in the wrong place (ie, Sema diagnostics listed in
DiagnosticsParseKinds.td) were moved to the correct places.  One diagnostic
split into two so that the diagnostic string is in the .td file instead of in
code.  Cleaned up the diagnostic includes after all the changes.

Eric Fiselier 5cdc2cda28 [AST] Store "UsesADL" information in CallExpr.
Summary:
Currently the Clang AST doesn't store information about how the callee of a CallExpr was found. Specifically if it was found using ADL.

However, this information is invaluable to tooling. Consider a tool which renames usages of a function. If the originally CallExpr was formed using ADL, then the tooling may need to additionally qualify the replacement.
Without information about how the callee was found, the tooling is left scratching it's head. Additionally, we want to be able to match ADL calls as quickly as possible, which means avoiding computing the answer on the fly.

This patch changes `CallExpr` to store whether it's callee was found using ADL. It does not change the size of any AST nodes.

Hubert Tong 147b743602 [ExprConstant] Improve memchr/memcmp for type mismatch and multibyte element types
Summary:
`memchr` and `memcmp` operate upon the character units of the object
representation; that is, the `size_t` parameter expresses the number of
character units. The constant folding implementation is updated in this
patch to account for multibyte element types in the arrays passed to
`memchr`/`memcmp` and, in the case of `memcmp`, to account for the
possibility that the arrays may have differing element types (even when
they are byte-sized).

Actual inspection of the object representation is not implemented.
Comparisons are done only between elements with the same object size;
that is, `memchr` will fail when inspecting at least one character unit
of a multibyte element. The integer types are assumed to have two's
complement representation with 0 for `false`, 1 for `true`, and no
padding bits.

`memcmp` on multibyte elements will only be able to fold in cases where
enough elements are equal for the answer to be 0.

Various tests are added to guard against incorrect folding for cases
that miscompile on some system or other prior to this patch. At the same
time, the unsigned 32-bit `wchar_t` testing in
`test/SemaCXX/constexpr-string.cpp` is restored.

Erich Keane ef65d6c5c4 Replace Const-Member checking with non-recursive version.
As reported in PR39946, these two implementations cause stack overflows
to occur when a type recursively contains itself.  While this only
happens when an incomplete version of itself is used by membership (and
thus an otherwise invalid program), the crashes might be surprising.

The solution here is to replace the recursive implementation with one
that uses a std::vector as a queue.  Old values are kept around to
prevent re-checking already checked types.

Bruno Cardoso Lopes 5c1399a582 [constexpr][c++2a] Try-catch blocks in constexpr functions
Implement support for try-catch blocks in constexpr functions, as
proposed in http://wg21.link/P1002 and voted in San Diego for c++20.

The idea is that we can still never throw inside constexpr, so the catch
block is never entered. A try-catch block like this:

try { f(); } catch (...) { }

is then morally equivalent to just

{ f(); }

Same idea should apply for function/constructor try blocks.

Clement Courbet 9d432e0d14 [WIP][Sema] Improve static_assert diagnostics for type traits.
Summary:
In our codebase, `static_assert(std::some_type_trait<Ts...>::value, "msg")`
(where `some_type_trait` is an std type_trait and `Ts...` is the
appropriate template parameters) account for 11.2% of the `static_assert`s.

In these cases, the `Ts` are typically not spelled out explicitly, e.g.
`static_assert(std::is_same<SomeT::TypeT, typename SomeDependentT::value_type>::value, "message");`

The diagnostic when the assert fails is typically not very useful, e.g.
`static_assert failed due to requirement 'std::is_same<SomeT::TypeT, typename SomeDependentT::value_type>::value' "message"`

This change makes the diagnostic spell out the types explicitly , e.g.
`static_assert failed due to requirement 'std::is_same<int, float>::value' "message"`

See tests for more examples.

After this is submitted, I intend to handle
`static_assert(!std::some_type_trait<Ts...>::value, "msg")`,
which is another 6.6% of static_asserts.

Bruno Ricci 4c9a019d1e [AST][Sema] Remove CallExpr::setNumArgs
CallExpr::setNumArgs is the only thing that prevents storing the arguments
in a trailing array. There is only 3 places in Sema where setNumArgs is called.
D54900 dealt with one of them.

This patch remove the other two calls to setNumArgs in ConvertArgumentsForCall.
To do this we do the following changes:

1.) Replace the first call to setNumArgs by an assertion since we are moving the
responsability to allocate enough space for the arguments from
Sema::ConvertArgumentsForCall to its callers
(which are Sema::BuildCallToMemberFunction, and Sema::BuildResolvedCallExpr).

2.) Add a new member function CallExpr::shrinkNumArgs, which can only be used
to drop arguments and then replace the second call to setNumArgs by
shrinkNumArgs.

3.) Add a new defaulted parameter MinNumArgs to CallExpr and its derived
classes which specifies a minimum number of argument slots to allocate.
The actual number of arguments slots allocated will be
max(number of args, MinNumArgs) with the extra args nulled. Note that
after the creation of the call expression all of the arguments will be
non-null. It is just during the creation of the call expression that some of
the last arguments can be temporarily null, until filled by default arguments.

4.) Update Sema::BuildCallToMemberFunction by passing the number of parameters
in the function prototype to the constructor of CXXMemberCallExpr. Here the
change is pretty straightforward.

5.) Update Sema::BuildResolvedCallExpr. Here the change is more complicated
since the type-checking for the function type was done after the creation of
the call expression. We need to move this before the creation of the call
expression, and then pass the number of parameters in the function prototype
(if any) to the constructor of the call expression.

6.) Update the deserialization of CallExpr and its derived classes.

`MustBuildLookupTable` must always be called on a primary context as we otherwise
trigger an assert, but we don't ensure that this will always happen in our code right now.

This patch explicitly requests the primary context when doing this call as this shouldn't break
anything (as calling `getPrimaryContext` on a context which is its own primary context is a no-op)
but will catch these rare cases where we somehow operate on a declaration context that is
not its own primary context.

Erich Keane 7304f0a66e Correct 'target' default behavior on redecl, allow forward declaration.
Declarations without the attribute were disallowed because it would be
ambiguous which 'target' it was supposed to be on.  For example:

void ___attribute__((target("v1"))) foo();
void foo(); // Redecl of above, or fwd decl of below?
void ___attribute__((target("v2"))) foo();

However, a first declaration doesn't have that problem, and erroring
prevents it from working in cases where the forward declaration is
useful.

Additionally, a forward declaration of target==default wouldn't properly
cause multiversioning, so this patch fixes that.

The patch was not split since the 'default' fix would require
implementing the same check for that case, followed by undoing the same
change for the fwd-decl implementation.

Balazs Keri 4a3d758ae4 [ASTImporter] Added Import functions for transition to new API.
Summary:
These Import_New functions should be used in the ASTImporter,
and the old Import functions should not be used. Later the
Import_New should be renamed to Import again and the old Import
functions must be removed. But this can happen only after LLDB
was updated to use the new Import interface.

This commit is only about introducing the new Import_New
functions. These are not implemented now, only calling the old
Import ones.

Hans Wennborg 8c79706e89 Revert r347417 "Re-Reinstate 347294 with a fix for the failures."
This caused a miscompile in Chrome (see crbug.com/908372) that's
illustrated by this small reduction:

    return !__builtin_constant_p(b - a) || (!(b - a));
  }

  int arr[] = {1,2,3};

  bool g() {
    return f(arr, arr + 3);
  }

  $ clang -O2 -S -emit-llvm a.cc -o -

g() should return true, but after r347417 it became false for some reason.

Gabor Marton b93baf65c0 [ASTImporter] Typedef import brings in the complete type
Summary:
When we already have an incomplete underlying type of a typedef in the
"To" context, and the "From" context has the same typedef, but the
underlying type is complete, then the imported type should be complete.

Fixes an assertion in CTU analysis of Xerces:
Assertion `DD && "queried property of class with no definition"' failed.
This assert is happening in the analyzer engine, because that attempts
to query an underlying type of a typedef, which happens to be
incomplete.

Gabor Marton f5e4f0af7b [ASTImporter] Set redecl chain of functions before any other import
Summary:
FunctionDecl import starts with a lookup and then we create a new Decl.
Then in case of CXXConstructorDecl we further import other Decls
(base classes, members through CXXConstructorDecl::inits()) before connecting
the redecl chain.  During those in-between imports structural eq fails
because the canonical decl is different.  This commit fixes this.
Synthesizing a test seemed extremely hard, however, Xerces analysis
reproduces the problem.

Bruno Ricci b94ad1e1d3 [AST] Store the string data in StringLiteral in a trailing array of chars
Use the newly available space in the bit-fields of Stmt and store the
string data in a trailing array of chars after the trailing array
of SourceLocation. This cuts the size of StringLiteral by 2 pointers.

Also refactor slightly StringLiteral::Create and StringLiteral::CreateEmpty
so that StringLiteral::Create is just responsible for the allocation, and the
constructor is responsible for doing all the initialization. This match what
is done for the other classes in general.

This patch should have no other functional changes apart from this.

A concern was raised during review about the interaction between
this patch and serialization abbreviations. I believe however that
there is currently no abbreviation defined for StringLiteral.
The only statements/expressions which have abbreviations are currently
DeclRefExpr, IntegerLiteral, CharacterLiteral and ImplicitCastExpr.

Sam McCall 814e7974c6 [AST] Allow limiting the scope of common AST traversals (getParents, RAV).
Summary:
The goal is to allow analyses such as clang-tidy checks to run on a
subset of the AST, e.g. "only on main-file decls" for interactive tools.

Today, these become "problematically global" by running RecursiveASTVisitors
rooted at the TUDecl, or by navigating up via ASTContext::getParent().

The scope is restricted using a set of top-level-decls that RecursiveASTVisitors
should be rooted at. This also applies to the visitor that populates the
parent map, and so the top-level-decls are considered to have no parents.

This patch makes the traversal scope a mutable property of ASTContext.
The more obvious way to do this is to pass the top-level decls to
relevant functions directly, but this has some problems:
 - it's error-prone: accidentally mixing restricted and unrestricted
   scopes is a performance trap. Interleaving multiple analyses is
   common (many clang-tidy checks run matchers or RAVs from matcher callbacks)
 - it doesn't map well to the actual use cases, where we really do want
   *all* traversals to be restricted.
 - it involves a lot of plumbing in parts of the code that don't care
   about traversals.
This approach was tried out in D54259 and D54261, I wanted to like it
but it feels pretty awful in practice.

Caveats: to get scope-limiting behavior of RecursiveASTVisitors, callers
have to call the new TraverseAST(Ctx) function instead of TraverseDecl(TU).
I think this is an improvement to the API regardless.

Jonas Devlieghere 64a2630825 Pass the function type instead of the return type to FunctionDecl::Create
Fix places where the return type of a FunctionDecl was being used in
place of the function type

FunctionDecl::Create() takes as its T parameter the type of function
that should be created, not the return type. Passing in the return type
looks to have been copypasta'd around a bit, but the number of correct
usages outweighs the incorrect ones so I've opted for keeping what T is
the same and fixing up the call sites instead.

This fixes a crash in Clang when attempting to compile the following
snippet of code with -fblocks -fsanitize=function -x objective-c++ (my
original repro case):

  void g(void(^)());
  void f()
  {
      __block int a = 0;
        g(^(){ a++; });
  }

as well as the following which only requires -fsanitize=function -x c++:

  void f(char * buf)
  {
      __builtin_os_log_format(buf, "");
  }

Richard Smith 3501895863 Revert r345562: "PR23833, DR2140: an lvalue-to-rvalue conversion on a glvalue of type"
This exposes a (known) CodeGen bug: it can't cope with emitting lvalue
expressions that denote non-odr-used but usable-in-constant-expression
variables. See PR39528 for a testcase.

Reverted for now until that issue can be fixed.

The size of an os_log buffer is known at any stage of compilation, so making it
a constant expression means that the common idiom of declaring a buffer for it
won't result in a VLA. That allows the compiler to skip saving and restoring
the stack pointer around such buffers.

This also moves the OSLog and other FormatString helpers from
libclangAnalysis to libclangAST to avoid a circular dependency.

Reid Kleckner e540d97b10 Replace two fallthrough annotations after covered switch with unreachable
Both preceding switches handle all possible enumerators, so the
fallthrough is actually unreachable. This strengthens that to an
assertion.

The first instance had a comment from 2010 indicating that fallthrough
was possible, but that was back when we had a unary operator for
offsetof. Now it is its own expression kind, so the annotation was
stale.

A ConstantExpr class represents a full expression that's in a context where a
constant expression is required. This class reflects the path the evaluator
took to reach the expression rather than the syntactic context in which the
expression occurs.

In the future, the class will be expanded to cache the result of the evaluated
expression so that it's not needlessly re-evaluated

We haven't supported compiling ObjC1 for a long time (and never will again), so
there isn't any reason to keep these separate. This patch replaces
LangOpts::ObjC1 and LangOpts::ObjC2 with LangOpts::ObjC.

A good chuck of all of the ReturnStmt have no NRVO candidate
(more than half when parsing all of Boost). For all of them
this saves one pointer. This has no impact on children().

Aleksei Sidorin 89c1ac7a05 [ASTImporter] Reorder fields after structure import is finished
There are multiple reasons why field structures can be imported
in wrong order. The simplest is the ability of field initializers
and method bodies to refer fields not in order they are listed in.
Unfortunately, there is no clean solution for that currently

Summary: This patch adds a new code generation path for bound sharing directives containing distribute parallel for. The new code generation scheme applies to chunked schedules on distribute and parallel for directives. The scheme simplifies the code that is being generated by eliminating the need for an outer for loop over chunks for both distribute and parallel for directives. In the case of distribute it applies to any sized chunk while in the parallel for case it only applies when chunk size is 1.

Gabor Marton 7a0841ef2f [ASTImporter] Import overrides before importing the rest of the chain
Summary:
During method import we check for structural eq of two methods.
In the structural eq check we check for their isVirtual() flag. That
flag, however, may depend on the number of overrides. Before this
change we imported the overrides *after* we had imported the rest of the
redecl chain.  So, during the import of another decl from the chain
IsVirtual() gave false result.

Writing tests for this is not really possible, because there is no way
to remove an overridden method via the AST API.
(We should access the private ASTContext::OverriddenMethods container.)
Also, we should do the remove in the middle of the import process.

Saleem Abdulrasool 21568183ec AST: extend MS decoration handling for extended vectors
We correctly handled extended vectors of non-floating point types.
However, we have the Intel style builtins which MSVC also supports which
do overlap in sizes with the floating point extended vectors.  This
would result in overloading of floating point extended vector types
which matched sizes (e.g. <3 x float> would be backed by a <4 x float>
and thus match sizes) to be mangled similarly.  Extended vectors are a
clang extension which live outside of the builtins, so mangle them all
similarly.  This change just extends the current scheme to treat
floating point types similar to the way that we treat other types
currently.

This now allows the swift runtime to be built for Windows again.

Only store the needed data in IfStmt. This cuts the size of IfStmt
by up to 3 pointers + 1 SourceLocation. The order of the children
is intentionally kept the same even though it would be more
convenient to put the optional trailing objects last. Additionally
use the newly available space in the bit-fields of Stmt to store
the location of the "if".

The result of this is that for the common case of an
if statement of the form:

if (some_cond)
  some_statement

the size of IfStmt is brought down to 8 bytes + 2 pointers,
instead of 8 bytes + 5 pointers + 2 SourceLocation.

Bruno Ricci 41d11c0e01 [AST] Widen the bit-fields of Stmt to 8 bytes.
Although some classes are using the tail padding of Stmt, most of
them are not. In particular the expression classes are not using it
since there is Expr in between, and Expr contains a single pointer.

This patch widen the bit-fields to Stmt to 8 bytes and move some
data from NullStmt, CompoundStmt, LabelStmt, AttributedStmt, SwitchStmt,
WhileStmt, DoStmt, ForStmt, GotoStmt, ContinueStmt, BreakStmt
and ReturnStmt to the newly available space.

In itself this patch do not achieve much but I plan to go through each of
the classes in the statement/expression hierarchy and use this newly
available space. A quick estimation gives me that this should shrink the
size of the statement/expression hierarchy by >10% when parsing all of Boost.

Erich Keane 19a8adc9bd Implement Function Multiversioning for Non-ELF Systems.
Similar to how ICC handles CPU-Dispatch on Windows, this patch uses the
resolver function directly to forward the call to the proper function.
This is not nearly as efficient as IFuncs of course, but is still quite
useful for large functions specifically developed for certain
processors.

This is unfortunately still limited to x86, since it depends on
__builtin_cpu_supports and __builtin_cpu_is, which are x86 builtins.

The naming for the resolver/forwarding function for cpu-dispatch was
taken from ICC's implementation, which uses the unmodified name for this
(no mangling additions).  This is possible, since cpu-dispatch uses '.A'
for the 'default' version.

In 'target' multiversioning, this function keeps the '.resolver'
extension in order to keep the default function keeping the default
mangling.

Saleem Abdulrasool 81a650ee87 Driver,CodeGen: introduce support for Swift CFString layout
Add a new driver level flag `-fcf-runtime-abi=` that allows one to specify the
runtime ABI for CoreFoundation.  This controls the language interoperability.
In particular, this is relevant for generating the CFConstantString classes
(primarily through the `__builtin___CFStringMakeConstantString` builtin) which
construct a reference to the "CFObject"'s `isa` field.  This type differs
between swift 4.1 and 4.2+.

Valid values for the new option include:
  - objc [default behaviour] - enable ObjectiveC interoperability
  - swift-4.1 - enable interoperability with swift 4.1
  - swift-4.2 - enable interoperability with swift 4.2
  - swift-5.0 - enable interoperability with swift 5.0
  - swift [alias] - target the latest swift ABI

Furthermore, swift 4.2+ changed the layout for the CFString when building
CoreFoundation *without* ObjectiveC interoperability.  In such a case, a field
was added to the CFObject base type changing it from: <{ const int*, int }> to
<{ uintptr_t, uintptr_t, uint64_t }>.

In swift 5.0, the CFString type will be further adjusted to change the length
from a uint32_t on everything but BE LP64 targets to uint64_t.

Note that the default behaviour for clang remains unchanged and the new layout
must be explicitly opted into via `-fcf-runtime-abi=swift*`.

Aleksandr Urakov 5c3d8fe853 [AST] Do not align virtual bases in `MicrosoftRecordLayoutBuilder` when
an external layout is used

Summary:
The patch removes alignment of virtual bases when an external layout is used.
We have two cases:
- the external layout source has an information about virtual bases offsets,
  so we just use them;
- the external source has no information about virtual bases offsets. In this
  case we can't predict where the base will be located. If we will align it but
  there will be something like `#pragma pack(push, 1)` really, then likely our
  layout will not fit into the real structure size, and then some asserts will
  hit. The asserts look reasonable, so I don't think that we need to remove
  them. May be it would be better instead don't align fields / bases etc.
  (so treat it always as `#pragma pack(push, 1)`) when an external layout source
  is used but no info about a field location is presented.

Balazs Keri 3b30d658dc [ASTImporter] Added error handling for AST import.
Summary:
The goal of this change is to make the ASTImporter::Import functions return
llvm::Expected instead of the imported type.
As first part the ASTNodeImporter visit functions are updated to return with
llvm::Expected. Various `import` functions are added to ASTNodeImporter to
simplify the code and have a common place for interface towards ASTImporter
(from ASTNodeImporter). There is some temporary code that is needed before
ASTImporter is updated.
